I usually take the Messenger (Stalingrad book) for 10 or 20 points, this will double the "You Men" range Imagine a Captain reaching out 24 inches to a Lt 1st. who then uses his "You men". now that's some DAKA! Granted you are not doing a heck of a lot after that turn, but you might not have to...

I once did a Defense of Saumur list with a major snapping to 2 light howitzers and 2 medium mortars, supported by a light tank, armoured car and some inex officer cadets. I wouldn't say it was a good list but it was fun - until I realised I was fighting British paras who just wouldn't run away :D

Yo! Hollywood! I didn't realize you were back. KZbin wasnt showing me any videos, i had to look you up and to my suprise you had a ton! Keep up the good work! Also wanted to ask, would you be interested in doing faction reviews or "how to build a box set" for some of the minors like China or Poland. Perhaps with a "what if?" Box for the factions that lack them?

I like Senior Officers if the unit count goes above 6-7 or if it gets around 1000 points. Leave the Lieutenant with the support element (arty, mortar, MG, etc) and have the Cpt lead the assault element. Increased range allows for increased dispersal of forces.

Tough Gut actually allows Italy (at least) to take Senior Officer types in the compulsory slot.

Yeah I definitely agree with the sentiment that it'd be much more interesting if you could take *any* officer in the mandatory slot. Either that, or just make the LT free, and then choose if you want a higher officer as well for the same points.

Oh wow did they announce Geonosians? That's cool but I'm also pissed we still don't have a third Corps option for GAR and CIS. I've been meaning to sit down and do an Ewok video but honestly there's a lot to cover and those videos take a long time to put together.

i agree, small team should be 3 men. that would make MMG teams much better and also help your AT Guns out, since they tend to simply get destroyed by tanks most of the time (in my experience) which feelsbadman i feel like AT guns are rarely a thread with how immobile they are and only 1 shot and then they are very vulnerable ontop. most people will pick a tank with atleast 2 machineguns and then they will ofc fire HE at the AT gun. so youre always looking at atleast 5-10 shots + 1he (which ignores gunshield, even if its attacking from the front arc), often simply destroying the AT gun team in a single attack the only time i even take AT guns anymore is when i have points to spare (so never) or i know its an open map (desert for example) howitzers are much better imo

only in the generic platoon, all theater selectors give them their own slot

Whoa, hol' up there. small unit means up to 3 men? In that case MMG teams, mortar teams etc will all get -1 to hit. I like it. Also being able to choose the rank of officer leading the army, well I see where you're coming from but having a higher ranking officer should require a chain of command. I had a game system where the officer(s) were "free" and you had a number of ranks to use, so you could take one high ranking officer or multiple lower ranking officers. Also, there are no plans for an update to bolt action rules, it has been stated by warlord that we all get to make our own rules. So if you want to try different officers or change the definition of small unit; then do it. If it works, others will also use it. If it doesn't work, like for instance removing the captured vehicle rule, then people won't.

The 3-man small team is my own suggestion. But I would love to see it made manifest.
