Thank you to all the kings, queens, trans, asexual and/or wherever you end up on the spectrum for being courageous enough to love yourselves and your kind of love to stand up against discrimination, abuse and ostracization

I’m glad to see all the elderly re-experiencing one of the most common beautiful moments in life. I’m glad their caregiving home and local organizers host that for them

That priest has a heart big enough for the whole world. It makes me sad to think that these people had to go through so much just for normalcy and only found it in their later years. Imagine all the years of happiness stripped away because people couldn't accept that people can be different. This is only a handful of people. There's still so many people who never got this experience and lived their whole lives in fear and that's not ok.

So beautiful! I'm upset at the education system of the US. There's this rich LGBTQ+ history all over the country spanning decades that we were never taught in school! There's so much history I've learned only in the past several years. Thanks to these people that endured so much pain so I can be out and proud today!

Seeing videos like this, of senior citizens getting to recreate moments of youth that they couldn't participate in as their true selves, just fills my heart with joy. They get to show up as their true selves now, and it must be such a happy, liberating moment. I'm so grateful to every person who dared to be themselves before me, because they paved the way for me to be out and proud today. I'm overjoyed for them💕

I’m still sad that I went to prom with a boy in 1971, I then mostly danced with my girlfriends. It was unfair… but what was the choice? All my aunties told me I’d be sorry if I missed prom. Nope, going was a source of guilt and bad memories. This event looks fabulous (and I don’t use the f-word lightly). Thanks for sharing the joy.
