I have a judgment against me from the state of California for state income taxes from 2005. I'm on social security now can the state still garnish my bank account.

When is a debt considered "old?"

A debt doesn't have to be "old." If a person receiving protected income owes debt old or new the income is protected. It is just a term I use. Old can be a minute old. Eric HELPS
