Im certain, that by watching these test, and seeing you toss these stick baits out over and over and over, it is slowly making me a better stick bait fisherman. I kid you not, this is the type of videos I've been looking for. Good job man.

My honest opinion is that they are both best for their own reasons. I like to us the bass pro shops stik-o for situation when you are casting because it is more dense and you can get it to travel farther. I like the senko for pitching because the slower rate of fall and the action.

Agree 100% with all your opinions in the video. For me, even in a tournament, i feel that both baits would do equally well wacky rigged when skipped under docks and overhangs. I dont think on that type of bait the bass will care...just my 2 cents! Enjoy all the videos Rob. These are the best out there! Keep up the great work.
@jonlakota25418 жыл бұрын
If your going to compare there action I would go with a senko. But price wise senkos are 7 bucks for a 8 pack. And the stickos are 10 bucks for a 50 pack. Personaly I would go with the stickos if I'm fun fishing and senko for tournament fishing.

One thing we're missing in our collation of stick bait comparisons is a durability test! Don't get me wrong I fish with senkos but I will rarely throw them 'weedless rigged' into hydrilla, milfoil or for that matter any other type of contact situation. They're just not very durable and therefore limited! at the rate some of the other stick bait manufacturers are going I just don't see Senko as a top-of-the-line bait for very much longer at its current price rate!

I always stock both in my tackle. I love Senko but I think the stick-o is a very good substitute. I think the senko is softer like you pointed out. I think because of that the stick-o tends to be a Lil more durable.

Ok, having never used a stick bait, I don't know what works and what doesn't. I have to say though, I like the action of the fall on the wacky rig, but the action of the pop on the texas rig. As far as which company, the Senko has more wiggle on the fall, but they seem the same on the pop regardless of which way they are rigged.
@RhinoVenturesOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
Rob, I think the Senkos have a slightly better wobble on the fall, but not enough for me to justify dropping .80 per vs. .25 or so for BPS. Close enough for me. But then again, I haven't caught a 10 pounder lately.

Honestly they are really close on performance. From my experience, the Stik-o doesn't rip as bad. Plus, they are a hell of a lot cheaper. If I can't find the Stik-o's somewhere, I'd go with the senko. But if there's Stik-o's available, that's my choice. Great video. I really enjoy the underwater footage. Keep it up!
@jasoneric59698 жыл бұрын

@timaustin95227 жыл бұрын
The differences are so minor, I don't think bass will notice. And I've never seen a bass nibble on one side of a stick bait. If salt is dissolving into the water around the bait, bass will pick up on it. Bigger factors would be current and temperature. Great vid! Learned a bunch and buying will be affected.

All I can say is that the Bass Pro Stik-O are probably the best thing to use to catch bass!! You get a lot more bait compared to the Senko's and its a lot cheaper too. Do you self a favour try them out, you can't go wrong and I recommend any of the pumpkin colours. I Caught 4 bass on my fishing trip.
@truthparanormal37418 жыл бұрын

@lzyfisherman31368 жыл бұрын
I'm sure someone has mentioned these; Kalin's Sizmic Wac-O-Worm, from Unclejosh. I picked up a bag on sale at Cabelas and they had a decent wiggle and the salt looked to be heavy but I was not biting into it they are garlic infused (you've been warned). I had good luck on them in the color I grabbed because I went to a clear baby blue lake and need something lighter. Also one of the Cabelas senko's has an "O" ring in it for wacky rigging. I grabbed the 4" in them cause they was on sale and in a baby bass color, got some on them too at the same lake, but they was a bit stiff feeling.
@gulfsidefishing90958 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't doubt that the senkos are probably better quality, but the bright red color contrasts against the pool much better and makes it look like it has more action than the BPS Stick-O does. Both are good baits, probably going to lean towards the stick-o's or my Strike-King Shimmy Sticks based on the price.
@19bigorange8 жыл бұрын

I tried senkos for the first time yesterday and was surprised I had to change the bait after every single fish (under 2 lbs). I normally use yum dingers but after seeing all the videos I think I might have to go with bps stick-o's just for the price alone. They all seem to catch fish just fine.

Bank anglers like myself I'd go with the bps especially since they are on sale right now. I got 150 of them for pretty much the same price as 30 senkos. But whenever I get the chance to go on a boat and fish actual lakes I'd throw the senkos because of options in color etc.

I was a huge fan of the Senko until used the Savage Gear Armor Tube Worm, you can catch like 10 fish on one bait. The nylon mesh through makes it last all day. Maybe do a video on that one, I'd like to know your thoughts.

You should do Senko vs. Gambler Ace. I've found a lot of success using the Ace after switching from the Stik-O.

They are very similar. Of the baits you have compared the Stick-Os are for sure the winner as the closest to the yamamoto's. For the price you pay for BPS Stick-Os they are the winner for me.

I like the action on the BPS stick. It has better action than the yum dinger for sure. The senko is the best on the market, but to be honest, I kill them on any of these stick baits at my local lake. I haven't noticed a difference between any of these baits in terms of numbers of fish caught.

I think the Stick-o actually had a decent wobble as compared to the other non Senko baits. I would have to agree with a lot of the people on here where I would say I'm going to throw the Senko in a tournament and the stick-o in an everyday situation. I bought I few packs of the big bites before your underwater of them and I just don't seem to catch fish on them. I can literally dissect an area with the big bite not get a bite and throw a Senko in first cast and catch a fish. I think that says a lot in my opinion. Spend the extra money and always have a couple of bags of Senko's in your soft plastic arsenal!
@matthewmazereeuw75758 жыл бұрын
I prefer the senko however, due to the price of senko's compared to Stik-o's, you just cant go wrong. I do find that when I rig o'rings on my senko's they tend to split much quicker than a stik-o, likely due to the softness of the plastic, anyways both are awesome stick baits that just catch fish.
@j_pasty_w18238 жыл бұрын
