If there would be a word to describe Senna is - perfect balance. He had this supernatural capacity to understand his surrounding. Looking in retrospect I really think that he had the ambition of being president of Brazil. He built a connection with Brazilians that was really impressive. I was 12 when he passed away and now at 42 I still have a deep interest in his personality. I think he knew that what makes Brazil an eternal "development country" is not only corruption (which plays a big part), but a huge amount of incompetence of our ruling elite. Being rich extremely COMPETENT and popular as he was, he could have won a election very, very easily.

His death made many Brazilians stop watching F1, for us it lost all the fun. You can understand his connection with his country by how he won the Brazilian GP, he had won every thing but never on his country, the car got stuck on 6th gear but he kept going, by the end of the race he couldn't move his arms (and the audio of him celebrating is amazing). He started a foundation that keeps helping children even after his death. His funeral was unbelievable, a casket with his helmet on top of it, the country stopped. It's hard to put everything on words. He made us very proud.

At first I was sad that this impressive, legendary, and likable man left no children to carry on some of his many positive traits. Then I realized that by inspiration anyone who wishes to can do that. That's what's so great about inspiring people - they teach us how to do the same, and they don't need to have children to do that. We become the children (especially when you consider that sometimes, actual children don't honor the legacy and carry on the great qualities of their parents!)

My first hero in sport was Alain Prost. I grew up watching the Senna-Prost rivalry. For me, Ayrton is the greatest in history in terms of talent, effort and focus. We miss him so much here in Brazil. I'm pretty sure he would win in 94 and in some other seasons...Hill almost won in 94, and he was a bad driver. RIP, Legend.

This is without doubt one of the most engaging documentaries about Ayrton I've ever seen, and there have been many. I feel its because of Francis's delivery and ability to naturally converse with AS but also, how refreshing it was to see Ayrton mainly away from his racing cars and grand prix, sharing times with family and friends. The intensity he carried himself with at races is now where to be seen, just a relaxed man enjoying his private time. Thank you for sharing such a precious film.

Once, in USA, I talked with a hobby shop manager. Senna when was in the country used to go there to check out the remote control aircraft. He told me that Senna was a nice and quiet gentleman.

I never had the chance to meet him, but he was and still is my favorite driver of all time! He took a race car to its absolute limits and sometimes further! This is why he was the driver everyone in the F1 business, drivers included all respected him! R.I.P. Ayrton! You are still missed even today! I will one day visit his grave and pay my respects! Till then rest easy!

Ayrton Senna was part of my childhood. We watched F1 racing every weekend when the F1 season was on and i was one of the many people who watched Ayrton smash into the wall at the Tamburello corner during the san marino grand prix in 1994 and after reading the paper the next morning and seeing the photos of the wrecked Williams, i felt something die inside of me but i didnt know that he had died. Last year i had a dream that i had saved his life by warning him about the possible crash at the san marino grand prix and in the dream Ayrton had heeded my warning/premonition and finished last, and after the race he came over to me, took my hand in his and said "thank you for saving my life". I have spent every day after having that dream that i will get to save this great man's life in another life and feel the intense pride and gratitude that came after. Rip Ayrton, i miss you ❤❤❤❤

I never met him but followed his career closely especially in the early nineties, and to this day I’m fascinated by Ayrton Senna. I don’t even know how to explain exactly why this is, but I certainly will never forget Senna either.

Ayrton was such a special person. I went to British Grand Prix practice day on Friday in 93. In those days, you could visit the pits. I got to see Senna in person. He was talking to his mechanics behind the garage and I waved at him. He waved back. He will always be my hero.
