Sennelier Calligraphy Ink Set Review and Artwork

I can’t get over how gorgeous that ink set and box is. I think my favorite color might be Deep Green! It reminds me of the ocean. Let me tell you I was impressed with the tree, the circles around the tree looked so difficult to keep even and within the lines!😂 It turned out beautifully though. A silver or gold version on black paper would be really cool too! I agree with your “art is life, life is art” statement. It’s hard to find something that excites you/you’re passionate about and is easily accessible on a daily basis. I sometimes remember this and feel very grateful for my love for art as well:)

The green is so gorgeous...I need to find bigger bottles of some of these to add to my collection, lol. I'm so glad you share my feelings on this. Where would we be without our beloved art? A lot more bored! 😂💜

I am really enjoying this set, plus it is so pleasing to look at, with that lovely wooden box, lol! I think I linked in the description; on Amazon US they have a smaller set as well which is a single bottle of black ink plus the pen and nibs, in a mini wooden box. I do like having a range of colours though! You can also buy these Sennelier inks separately in larger 30ml dropper bottles.

It turned out beautifully! Art materials are soooo flexible - there are no rules for any particular material, besides I think those colours are too beautiful to just use them on calligraphy only....

Thank you! I tend not to use things for their original purpose, but like any craft, there will be those out there who must do things the traditional way, and who don't like their beloved materials being used for anything else. Mind you, I get a bit like that with fancy paper, lol! I love Sennelier's inks, they're so pretty.

Really lovely design. It would look nice on a beige coloured paper with the brown and gold or as you say black & silver. Because the ink is transparent it would also look nice done with black outlines & a stained glass style coloured background behind the tree. You should stamp copyright over this as it's really lovely 💖💖💖

I enjoyed watching this, you hand lettering is very nice. Would love to see what else you create with the dip pens. I tried one once and it took me awhile to get used to using pressure for thin to think lines, it amazes me how it can hold the ink and not drip out :)

waterproof? this may ruin your frugal feb, so feel free to look away now: some sets of ph martins hydrus are 39% off on amazon au atm. they work with dip pens (not water resistant however).

Waterproof when dry that is! I probably forgot to say that. 😂 I would like to get some Hydrus at some point, I think those are liquid watercolours, but the pigmented ones so they are meant to be pretty lightfast too.
