I own the Momentum 3 and use them 2/3 at home (when either working or chilling), and 1/3 when commuting. For me sound quality is the priority and since I use them at home more often, they were my choice. If I was travelling more often I would have bought a more lightweight headphone, probably the Bose 700 or these Sennheiser 550 II.

If someone is watching the review now, PXC 2 can be connected to PC/Laptop with Bluetooth button on the right ear cup switched off. The headphone keeps charging and you can listen to music using USB A cable. You still have access to touch controls for music pause play, volume up down, track prev/next. You can take calls too, and you can mute unmute by swiping left/right If you want to fast forward the video, you can swipe to the right and hold, And awesome flat signature sound ;)

Momentum 3 are better sounding than the PX7, I'm sad to say (I chose the PX7 without listening to them, because the PX - also better than the PX7 - had blown me away). Now that I have actually listened to both the Momentum 3 and the PX7, I am in the process of considering buying the Momentums and birthday present the PX7s to my friend... Sound stage is phenomenal on the PX, and the bass is tight and punctually punchy. On the PX7 soundstage has been narrowed (why??) and the bass is thicker, less clean, and much more overwhelming (why??). The Momentums also have a good sound stage, and much more noticeable clarity than the PX7. It is as if the PX7 wants to hide the premium hardware it actually has (again why?? - that is not usual for B&W, whom has impressed me so many times before, especially with their high powered cleanliness).

I've tried every top-end ANC model available and Momentums won by far. What was over the top? Airy and quiet parts from Mark Hollis's solo album, just blew my freakn' mind... Great soundstage tested on Beck's 360 version of "Sound and Vision" . On faster and noisier side - Richard Hawley's "Standing At the Sky's Edge" didn't gave me any headache or ear irritation after a 4-5 hour run with this album on a noisy streets of Warsaw. I tried out a pair of PXC 550 II's because I found the sound quality of the WH-1000XM3 to be a downgrade from my Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT headphones (which lack noise canceling). I could not have been more disappointed. I'm pretty sure the pack-in earbuds that came with my old iPhone 5C sounded better than this. The upper-mids sound like they're coming through a straw. This would make sense since the ultra-thin fabric liner in the earcup is not at all equipped to dampen internal reflections. It reminds me of the way headphones sound when they have cheap replacement earpads that lack the foam layer needed to prevent this. Comfort is pretty awful, too. They are definitely _not_ big head approved. My head isn't humongous; I only need to extend most headphones out to 60-70% of their maximum size to fit my head, but I max out the headband on the PXC 550 II's and still find myself wanting an extra notch. The headband is stiff and it gives me a headache after 5-10 minutes of wearing them. If you need ANC, just get the Sony WH-1000XM3s. They do everything better than the PXC 550 II's and they're about the same price in excellent, used condition. As for me, I think I'll be sticking with my ATH-M50xBT's for home use and WH-1000XM3's for travel.
