Greeting from Denmark. Great video, I love the methods. I'll def try brown sugar with my bacon next time, and the umami salt is brilliant in terms of flavor enhancements! For the "special sauce".. well.. yeah.. here's mine: mayo, creme fraiche, smoked paprika, paprika, onion power, garlic powder, heinz/beauvais keychup, "French" mustard (or dijon-variant in less amount), fresh grounded pepper, salt and then cornichon brunoise. In Denmark we have the gravy burger: Make the burger you want, and the pour gravy over the whole thing and use fried onions on top. That's my favorite, maybe with a fried too. The calorie intake is fit for the dark season of fall and winter 🙂

I love cheese on my burgers but over the years I've learned I dont like to melt my cheese over heat, especially american cheese. I prefer the flavor and texture of partially melted cheese when I place the cheese directly on a hot burger then quickly assemble it with the other ingredients. You should try it. Theres a time and dish for a unmelted, partially melted, and fully melted cheese 🤓

I also don’t let the cheese melt while on the grill anymore (it also keeps the grill a tad cleaner) but for myself nothing will ever beat a basic salt n pepper seasoned patty. Most of this stuff is just too much. Ron Swanson burgers in a nutshell …. Nothing beats the basics.

hey Kai, aldi sells pre made burger patties (6-8 in each pack) for 7 bucks, they taste so good with some salt and pepper, and they have the consistency of a fast food/drive thru burger, they are delicous
