Really love this more informative style of video. I think its easy for me to forget when watching a lot of your other content that you're not just a student and personality but a super experienced teacher too but it really shows here! It seems like you really enjoy teaching too. I was particularly surprised by the things you revealed to me about my mom; In fact you seem to have a very intimate knowledge about my mom and I think its really going to change the way I think about my mom moving forward. Love the vid as usual, keep it up!

Seems like when opponent is backed up against the cage, the tricky spinning kicks take advantage of the opponent being kind of scared. Could base an entire fighting style off of backing an opponent up to the cage and doing spinning stuff into a finish, or even if you miss, it closes the distance for a takedown

Tornado kick is my fave and I've used it a lot in sparring/tournaments(TKD😅). Mine is pure momentum. I see most people have a slight pause after the first turn. Like they step forward with rear leg then initiate the turn. When I do mine, the rear leg forward is part of the spinning momentum. You get a ton of momentum this way. I also swing my arms out too as they get punched if they step into it during my turn.

@rayhaney107 Жыл бұрын
tornadoes or 360s are great, because they are so rarely seen (outside of TKD matches) even highly trained fighters will have a microsecond of brainlock when its coming at them. It can REALLY make someones brain go 'huh? wtf is THIS'. And it just looks SO COOL. As always, great vid Seth! And Jeff!

Itˋs just the best feeling when you get the tornado kick dialed in and then sink your shin in the heavy bag. The amount of force you can generate once you start exploding into the the rotation and relax while you spin. Just like a whip, you just let the power travel.

Jeff is going to land the pop up crescent, it looks really natural to him and works in his range, where he likes to be. Also it looks like he has figured out, if he misses a cross and the opponent is backing away, that he can roll right into it and close.

the tornado kick is such a classic in taekwondo. where i trained we called them as the 360 variation of another kick, because you can throw most kicks after the spin, not just a side kick. in taekwondo it's simply one of the two ways you can throw a strong kick from your front leg while moving forward, the other one is simply to kick off a shuffle step. it adds some variation, forces people to worry about more possible kicks even right after you threw a kick.

Spinning kicks and flying kicks work due to the massive telegraphing which shows; 9:50 about here MMAshredded used the tornado kick as a way to close in while also feinting with the added momentum of the step and also the distance closed he beautifully connected the tornado kick; then after he got in he decided to violate Seth even more with hooks

"People don't move as fast backwards, as we do forwards" --> true, unless they are trained to move fluently backwards in combat like professional fighters/masters. (And they will move at an angle that puts you in the worst tactical position and open to counter-attack if not caught by suprise by your flying kick). Overall, a very good vid.
