My girlfriend and I had our daughter this past May and it’s been such a whirlwind of emotion. I work a lot, especially in the evenings and overnight. Now that I'm watching the video, I can see the passion and love- Senses Fail isn't about a "sound", it's about that passion and love, so it actually DOES sound like Senses Fail. Life Is Not a Waiting Room is my favorite album of theirs but I don't really like this song so far. It feels more like it's in-between Life Is Not a Waiting Room and If There Is Light, It Will Find You, but not the good parts. If that makes sense? I love both albums, but this song pulls influences in a way that's not really vibing with me.
