This was super helpful. My son is a sensory seeker and we are really trying to help him regulate.

I wish I had this video 2 years ago! My daughter always hated being layed on her back and would wake up the second we lay her down and screamed during diaper changes. Now she's older and it's better but it's so good to know there is an explanation.

I am in the process of trying to decode my 4.5 year old daughter. She seems to have some sensory processing issues, and I strongly suspect there are issues with the vestibular system. However, I see signs of both an under and over sensitive vestibular system. She seeks vestibular input, but an excess of input makes her highly agitated. She may love being tossed in the air, or it may terrify her depending on her state of agitation (she also suffers from anxiety). She recently used a trampoline and she loved it but she was a MESS for a full 24 hours afterward. When she really gets to her highest level of agitation she goes into an almost seizure like fit with her body, arching her back and flipping herself around. Does this make any sense at all?? We have started seeing a play therapist and an occupational therapist, but progress is slow.

My son seems to have the same thing happening where he seeks vestibular input but is also highly agitated by it... he’s not seeing a therapist yet & im not sure how to help him😔

Can a child be over & under responsive?? My child is struggling like crazy with baths because he cant tilt his head back, we switched to pullups vs diapers when he was only 6 months old & he has to be rocked in this weird way (for hours) where he’s leaning forward because he panics when he’s leaned back - but he also never stops spinning, jumping, running etc & seems to be trying to get that input he’s missing🤔

I really want to learn/study more about the sensory system, because I LOVE this topic, for children and especially adults. Do you have any recommendations on courses or certifications that covers this? :) Thanks so much!

Does your program have activities for younger children? All the ones I come across are geared towards kids that are older that can already take directions.
