If you have a Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) there are many different activities or strategies that you can do to try to help you become more calm or more alert. We find taking our two autistic teenagers for a walk helps them when they are sensory seeking to calm down a bit. In this video Ash and I are going for our morning walk.
Hi my name is Dallas. I have created The Tread because I want to share what I’ve learnt and experienced being a parent of two autistic boys.
I want it to be a space where we can share our experiences, learn from each other and hopefully inspire each other to believe that change and progress are possible!
Being a parent of an autistic child can be extremely exhausting - physically,, mentally and emotionally so we need to be encouraging each other and believing that we are amazingly resilient parents.
