Thanks for the review! I got a pair of the green suede ones, and absolutely love them. The only problem I've had is a pressure point along the top seam where it hits the joint of my big toe. But as I wear them, that seems to be going away.
@AndrewFolts5 ай бұрын
Right on! The sole is so comfortable, but yea, any top-stiched shoe can be somewhat tighter around the edges. Luckily leather stretches and softens over time, so hopefully it'll end up gong away completely. Enjoy!
@RagnarHoff5 ай бұрын
One important thing to note as im sure many people wonder. It doesn't fit narrow and long like the Primus models. The toe box is wider and more rounded so you don't need to size up.
@AndrewFolts5 ай бұрын
True, it's more capable of stretching to fit various foot shapes too, due to the leather.

@@weew0e767 Yea, I actually think I'm going to buy another pair of V-Alpha's, because my 44's are too loose to wear for climbing and I feel like they'd be amazing if they were just a little shorter, so my toes stayed in. Glad you're having fun climbing, it's one of my fav things to do.

In regards to durability how does this compare to the Geo Court III? I live in AZ where it hits over 100 😅
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
Similar for casual, but the Court would be slightly more durable for sports. The Sensus does have slits, so it's a bit more breathable, but could def get hot in 100 degree weather, since it's closed off. I'd wear sandals for that temp, ha. Toetem Alpha is my fav. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIaUlKqberKdjKM

Not sure, can anybody tell me if they would work fine for rather hot weather? Choosing something for city hiking in Portugal

Above 80º F (26º C) they can start to get hot due to only having minimal venting. For walking around in hot weather, I generally use the Toetem Alpha sandals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIaUlKqberKdjKM

No, it runs maybe a half size short due to the flat stitched front.

On the Asana (the wool one I think), is that one good for people with lower volume feet? Because it doesn't have a separated tongue - instead it has that sock like upper - so I feel like it would scrunch up if I tried to cinch laces on it with a lower volume foot. I've been eyeing it for a while because it looks nice and I need a breathable shoe for summer but I have low volume feet and I think to get a secure fit I would have to cinch those things too much and get uncomfortable folding.
@AndrewFolts5 ай бұрын
Depends on if your feet are slim as well as low volume. My feet are medium width and the Asana's do scrunch up a bit when I tighten them. The fabric's soft and stretchy, so it doesn't matter too much, but something to consider. If your feet are wider, then it won't be an issue at all. The Sensus runs slightly more snug and fit my medium width feet better without any crimping. Both shoes are thin and breathable for summer,, but warm enough for spring/fall.
@atideva33855 ай бұрын
I have low volume feet and the asana was really good for me, so comfy. Not having the tongue wasn't an issue. However on the primus lite knit, which has no tongue, that was an issue for me, it bunched up and generally didn't fit well wasn't comfortable because of having no tongue

Unfortunately I have had rather bad luck with them, it’s a shame because I really like the shoe. Basically I was finding that when I walked in them the right (left was fine) would make an audible flapping noise like a flip flop would make with each and every step. Customer service told me that there were a small number with a fault. Unfortunately, as I bought a brown leather pair and a green suede both had exact same problem. It’s not as if it was a looser fit on the right, I even tried tightening the laces, but problem persisted. A differnt agent at customer services stated that it perhaps I should try a different style and did not mention a fault. Anyway I decided to get a refund for the suede and have the leather ones replaced. I tried the replacements on yesterday and not only do I have the same issue the leather is torn (tight next to, not on) on the panel at the back. I have the Primus Lite III and there are no issues with them. Sadly I will have to return the faulty and damaged 3rd pair of Sensus I have tried.
@AndrewFolts5 ай бұрын
Wow, that's terrible luck to have issues with three pairs, I literally just tried mine on to see and there wasn't any flapping noise, although I have often gotten that with other thicker leather shoes. Sometimes it goes away as the leather softens up. Glad the Lite's are working, tho. Perhaps the Primus Asana would be a good option at some point, since it's similar to the Lite's but has a mix of leather and knit, which shouldn't ever make noise.

@@AndrewFolts Yes bad luck on repeat unfortunately, and 2 different responses from different customer service folk. I didnt know if, as one had said it was a bad batch, or as another said -the shoe is not for me. There is another KZbin review and he mentioned the noise they make but lives with it. Others have gave given advice about walking correctly in barefoot. But I have been wearing barefoot for over 13 years. Vivobarefoot did give me a 30% discount code, so I may take another gamble. I will also check out the ones that you kindly recommended. However since these troubles I have discovered Wildling shoes and love them. German company, rather unusual sole. The most comfortable shoes I have worn. They tend to be canvas, they even have a paper one. I now have 2 pairs that are a wool mix knit. They feel like you are just wearing socks. I'm not sure about their robustness for sports , though have see a review of someone who runs in them. I find they truly give the feet room to spread properly. Not all barefoot do, I find.
