How would the music function work? Could I use Apple Music with it? Probably not, but then what would the function be? How about CarPlay too? Don’t mean to bombard with questions, I just want this phone but there’s a few things that make it hard
@AndrewFolts13 сағат бұрын
What I did is use an app called NoteBurner to download MP3's of my favorite Spotify playlists and albums and then uploaded them via the Light dashboard. Mostly I listen with Spotify Premium on my Mac, but this way I always have some good stuff to listen to when I'm traveling, etc. The LP music tool does work via Bluetooth in cars.

the main thing missing I need in a phone is 2FA for work or I am going to need two phones all the time.
@AndrewFolts13 сағат бұрын
You could use an iPad, which is less addictive due to not fitting in your pocket. But 2FA for a lot of companies means logging into social media apps (like KZbin), so that's not something LP could ever support.

Such a widely useful tool you've built. That's some work and care! I know you're good about comparing some details that often get passed over. I'm really curious about a comparison of toebox shapes of a few Vivobarefoot models; specifically the slightly narrower, longer-at-the-big-toe taper of the FG2 vs the more boxy, blunted-at-the-big-toe ESC shape; and which one is the new AT sole more like? My feet love the ESC shape. The Decon Lows (FG2 sole) I got in the same size were too narrow, so I half-sized them up. But their shape then gives me too much length at the big toe. I think you have experience with each of these soles in various models; what do you think?
@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
The new AT is more regular wide like the FG2, whereas the ESC is a bit more roomy-it's the widest Vivo style. Also has a more flexible leather, which helps.
@childcrone14 сағат бұрын
@@AndrewFolts Thank you! So is the AT also more elongated at the big toe (like the FG2) or a bit blunted/shorter at the big toe like the ESC shape?

why not cook meat
@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
I've wanted to try a full carnivore diet for a while, but every time I tried to eat more meat I'd get terrible acid reflux, constipation, and/or diarrhea and I'd have to quit. Cooking makes meat more acidic and it also destroys the good bacteria and enzymes that support digestion, as well as a healthy gut flora, hence acid reflux, etc. Raw meat contains a lot more micronutrients, like Vitamin C, which are destroyed by cooking. Overall, raw meat just seems to work better for me, but everyone's different.

I’ve tried doing carnivore with ground beef but I could only go 4 days without munching on something. I couldn’t even look at ground beef after that. And I can’t afford steaks every day. But I’m really suffering from asthma and allergies. What do I do?
@eitanengel8259Күн бұрын
Also another huge problem is finding the time and energy to cook 3 meals a day when I can just eat bread and other easy carbs all day
@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
The two main things that cause allergies for a majority of people are dairy and gluten. If you just cut those out, you may be able to eat just about anything else with no allergies. Also processed foods, like chips, cookies, and noodles should be 100% cut out. Some people may have issues with soy, corn, or other things, but your best bet is starting with dairy, then gluten, then all processed foods.
@eitanengel8259Күн бұрын
Ok, sounds good. How can I make this easy for myself? I think a pretty big roadblock for me is finding the energy to prepare food 3 times a day. I guess with raw meat that’s easy but I’m not going for that right now
@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
@@eitanengel8259 I'm super lazy as well, so I only eat twice a day (lunch/dinner) and just make the same basic salad bowl every time. It's not a five-star meal, but it satisfies me, and as Mikhaila Peterson says: "Nothing tastes as good as being healthy." Meal prep takes maybe ten minutes. For cooking, just do a pound (or whatever you need) of ground bison, etc, at lunch, and then use the other half for dinner. You can cut out any extras that don't work for you. Some fresh fruit or juice can tide you over until lunch without killing your appetite. + handful of baby lettuce + 1/4 lb ground bison organ blend + 1/4 lb ground bison high fat blend bit.ly/3KuYS4g + 1-2 oz bison back fat or suet + 2 egg yolks + 1/2 apple or pear + 1/2 avocado + sea salt + 1/8 lemon juice + 1/2 tbsp really raw honey amzn.to/401nFWd

@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
Honestly, color e ink sucks. It may improve eventually, but in 2024 I wouldn't waste money on it. I had the Boox Tab Ultra C and the colors were so faded and inaccurate that it was almost completely pointless. For now, a grayscale e ink monitor is a much better option due to being sharper/clearer.

Is white rice ok? What about seed oils?
@AndrewFoltsКүн бұрын
No, white rice is never ok. It's almost completely nutrition-less, except for massive amounts of carbs and starch, which bad bacteria love. Seeds oils are also terrible, as most are highly processed with heat that causes oxidation and other serious problems. They also have a low smoke point, which makes them unsuitable for cooking. Stick to organic cold-pressed avocado or coconut oil for cooking. Extra virgin olive oil is ok for eating raw, but never cook with it, as it has a low smoke point.

@donot25922 күн бұрын
@@AndrewFolts so glad to hear about calling Uber, just verified that's true. This makes all the difference for me. I would NEVER carry a larger device. I could order Uber to leave the house from my laptop but I am not going back home after dinner with friends with a larger device. Just no. I understand not putting Spotify, digital books, or bank apps that you would surely scroll (NFC chip is nice). I cannot understand how this phone will take hold of any momentum with no ride share, same reason why you wouldn't want to leave out navigation. Taxis are a non starter, asking friends is horrific dependence and a burden, calling Uber might be just enough but we will see. The only way I would buy this phone is if they had a flash sale for $399 again. Otherwise no way.
