I recently finished a biography on Padre Pio. There were a few times in his life when he DID complain. When God took one who was working on building the hospital in San Giovanni he complained that God did not warn him (Pio) beforehand. At the end of his life his pain was so terrible that he would say he could no longer stand it. It was NOT a habit with him for sure. I agree with this presentation. Being grateful for God’s grace in our lives (whatever form it takes) is the winning way of drawing closer to a Jesus. God is always tenderly watching over us.

Messages like these always border on stoicism. Of course we are allowed to complain! To Christ! "Cast all your cares on him, because he cares for you." And, we are also allowed to share our troubles with a trusted friend: "bear one another's burdens and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ." *How can someone help bear your burden if you first don't share it? How can we bear someone else's burden if they don't share?* Yes, the spirit in which we share should not a complaining one, rather a hopeful one, knowing that God can redeem our sufferings, but...with that said...we need to be able to speak to one another - and to God -- honestly about our problems and gain comfort and support.

Why do you think gad is real?
@smallparticlelinda2 ай бұрын
Mary never complained and humbly followed God's will. She's the perfect model of a Christian, but most of us are not perfect. I used to be too scared of God to complain about anything, but I've recently made the observation that the most zealous Christians I've seen have complained about various things, big and small, in their journeys of faith. Moses, Job and Jonah all complained. Abraham even bargained with God. I think the key is to remain open to communication with God and never stop believing that he will give you a response. We keep being told that God wants a relationship with us, and communication is how you build a relationship. It's not just a one-sided worship. It's fine to ask questions and wait for God to answer. Complain all you want in prayer, just don't forget to remain humble and don't carry that attitude into your daily life. It's going to prevent the holy spirit from working in you.

Glory to God. Thank God for your message, today. I came to my senses after decades of complaining and confessed the sin of Despair. I wasn't cured overnight, but rather, my heart was brought closer to God. I was missing every one of the incidents God sent my way that should have increased my faith in Him. To let His glory work through my faith for the benefit of others around me. I languished in self-pity, really. The devil created the thin veil of selfishness to separate me from great gifts from God. A corollary to complaining is swearing. There is no case for it, and I have sadly seen high-profile Catholic influencers make light of this great pastime of mainly men, but I have witnessed some of the worst sailor-friendly language coming from women, too. Get rid of swearing from your pattern responses it's akin to despair. You are negating the gifts of faith God is passing your way - you are short-circuiting redeeming grace. God bless your walk.

For spiritual protection: Sprinkle blessed salt around the outdoor perimeter of your home while reciting the St. Michael Prayer and other prayers of protection. You might also bury a Miraculous Medal, a St. Benedict Medal and a crucifix (all blessed by a priest) at the four corners of your property. Sprinkle holy water on the interior walls of your home, and periodically burn blessed incense. If you can gain some access to the property of the offending neighbors, without being detected, you can sprinkle blessed salt and possibly bury blessed a few medals there. The Cukierski apostolate offers the items mentioned in its Home Protection Package, with the incense sold separately.

@goatsandroses42582 ай бұрын
This does not make sense, though. The entire book of Psalms is filled with "complaints," as is Lamentations. It's not "complaining" and sharing our heartfelt grief, confusion, and pain that is the problem. If we feel a certain way, we need to stand in emotional nakedness before Him and confess. God sees our spirits already anyway; we can't pretend to be goody-two-shoes; He sees the truth. If we're honest with Him, he might show us the real situation, or ask us to have faith even when we don't understand, or even make us see what's good in our lives. Sometimes, as with David, just in our confession of how we feel we can suddenly find our faith restored. God hates falsehood and hypocrisy, even if that hypocrisy is well-intended. He won't let us wear a mask forever.Stored up emotions are just like an abscess. They will just break out sometime in anger, depression, or just cynicism, and often hurt others. it's faithless complaining (pouting, sulking, deciding to stay bitter and cynical) and/or seeking to foment insurrection against godly leaders ("murmuring and complaining" as the Jewish people did) that drives us away from God.
@packerram224 күн бұрын
There’s a difference between complaining to other people vs pouring out your anguish to God. If you’re complaining to others it’s basically self aggrandizing pity party. Crying out your needs to God is just prayer. Also the psalms sometimes start with imploring the lord but they always end with giving thanks to God
