Automatics do handle more power than manual transmissions. The issue is that people don't service autos like they're supposed to so they go to shit.

7:43, the commodore he meant is a VL commodore, not a v1, the VL used a rb30 and the r31 gets called the poor man's VL so that's why parts are swappable between them. And with the P plates you get them after passing your learners test after being on you L plates for 1 year (you can get them after you turn 16) and the first year is red plates and then another 2 on your greens which also makes you eligible to do a motorbike license and the difference between red and green plates varies between states but in my state you can use hands free phone calls and sat-nav stuff that isn't already built into the car on your greens and the power restrictions also vary state to state but you pretty much aren't allowed to drive anything with a v8 except for a handful of cars.

These guys used to tell people with autos to off themselves. Yet on the 86/brz platform the auto is stronger than the manual that guy isn’t coping. It’s a version of the Lexus v6 trans which is rated higher than the manual tq for tq. I have experience in this first hand anyone who says otherwise can’t read Toyotas instructions or is on the elitist manual mentality.

So the best and fastest "manual transmission" is a power glide which all you do yank on it at the right time, how is that any different than flicking a paddle at the right time ( ya ya sequential vs lame auto). Driving manual isn't hard it's just rare for people to have a manual car to practice in. It's a car meant for the general population it's made to be easy.
