Can't comment on the PX4, or the Langdon package as a whole, but I did install just their high performance trigger bar on my Beretta 92, and all I can say is WOW! It doesn't shorten the double action pull, but it seems to reduce the stacking, so without measuring it, I'd guess it's a lighter pull overall. Where it really shines is that single-action reset, which is exactly as shown in this video. Easy to install on the 92, because the trigger bar rides outside the frame; took about ten minutes, much of that time spent in removing the grip panels. If you have the tools and ability to replace the trigger bar on the PX4, and are reluctant to spend the time and money to have the total Langdon package, you might consider trying out just this one Langdon part. About $85, and takes about a week to get it from their site.

Purchased the .45 model. Never experienced a jam in over 10,000 rounds. It is the softest shooting .45 ACP pistol. The U.S. Military selected this pistol when they wanted their Spec Ops to use the .45 ACP caliber. It passed their tests. Sadly it was never issued.

@@opinionsvary "Yeah, but"? I'm not a Beretta fanboy, I prefer Walther & Glock. And a 22,500 round life-span is quite acceptable! My post has nothing to do with whether or not their guns are quality, but rather the fact of their 500th anniversary coming up, which is IMO, a great opportunity to feel good about firearms in general. My wife owns an FS 92 and I hate its ergonomics; my CZ-75 is MUCH better IMO. Also, my CZ is NOT a decocker. Decockers SUCK IMO. [opinions DO vary, eh?] Oh yes, btw, ever since Cohen became CEO of SIG, their guns are utter trash. He trashed SIG guns just like he did w/MIMber - er I mean Kimber - lol!
@zanelittlegray
@zanelittlegray 4 ай бұрын
@@opinionsvary Wow, after reading all that, you must be a gunsmith with a penchant for test-to-destruction! So - what gun(s) do you actually LIKE? And, I notice that you've turned our conversation to how a pistol wears under lots of military use, and that's ok, except that I don't subject any of my guns to that level of use. In fact, that's why I bought the CZ, so I could use it as a range gun for practice, thereby saving my EDC, a Glock42, for actual self-protection. The level of use you're describing will never happen with my guns. You speak well of the current SIG lineup [ok, just 1 gun], but have you read the many complaints coming from loyal, long-time SIG owners about their new Cohen era SIGs falling apart? Have you watched youtuber "The Yankee Marshal", one of the biggest SIG fanbois online, complain about the poor quality of the "premium" finish wearing off his new, expensive "luxury- level" SIG Legion after just a few holsterings? Did you watch Tim from Military Arms Channel try to evaluate the then-new SIG P365, only to have 2 of them in a row break right at the outset of both tests? And how they have striker-pin drag across the base of the cartridge?
@zanelittlegray
@zanelittlegray 4 ай бұрын
@@opinionsvary I generally don't go OCD on gun finishes, as long as they last as long as mine have. Sorry to hear about that rust bubbling up under your finish - that would cause me some irritation! I own a Glock, a Beretta, 2 Walthers, a CZ, a S&W revolver, a Zastava AK pistol and a CMMG AR Banshee PCC in .45ACP - and all of them are rust-free and run w/out any problems - except for the Banshee which fails to feed w/range ammo, but does fine with the spicy stuff. But please note that I don't do mag dumps and I don't shoot real often either, so my guns are all low-mileage and babied. The reason I bought the CZ and especially the Beretta is because: 1. those are good for range use and plinking, so I save wear & tear on my EDC [the G42] and 2. the fact that they're rather iconic firearms with military history behind them. [Oops! Looks like I'll have to buy a Colt Army 1911 in order to add that iconic military pistol to my little collection!] If they begin rusting, then I'll probably have them Cerakoated. If the Cerakoate causes them to jam, I'm sure that something can be done to fix the specific problem w/out removing all the coating from the entire pistol. In fact, I think having a camo Cerakoate on my AK would be kinda cool-looking, dontcha think? Perhaps desert digicam! What are YOUR favorite pistols opinionsvary?

I want to know that too. I have a good idea that it will be something we’ll feel. Ppl try putting exact percentages of muzzle flip ,recoil ect on ammo,ported guns ,you name it. Again, I think it’s definitely going to be there & also will be different experience from person to person. The feel of anything is hard to put into words,add a different Individual and that description just changed. I am planning on watching & waiting on the resurge of interest in this gun to settle down & probably for the next election to pass on by before getting started on this path. Don’t get me wrong…If I just happen to come across one in a used case ,pawn shop or something & the price was right.. Id get it. I’m going to presume that you are interested in GP’s too. I am. The chance of seeing one of those in a store is slim. Im most likely going to end up with a Excalibur mk12 because it’s big & cool and all. The Berettas are going to be the better gun for me to carry im fairly certain. The more rounded shape around the hammer area..tends to look more like a part of the body under a shirt.&/or like a roll in the fabric of the shirt if you get what I’m saying. I am carrying successfully IWB for the first time recently..almost 2 years…BUT..!.OWB will always be more comfortable..for me anyway. & that might change with time. For these guns ,im personally starting with a owb ,M/H ride leather holster,canted a little. 6-8 degrees or so. .like the fast on/off snaps. I got into m/h owb leather with some past experience with a Glock & a Galco fletch. Enough for now. I’d say go ahead and get the gun. Or you’re going to be wondering. You only live once. Its a beretta. You know its going to be a good one. I’m not paying a crazy rockstar of guns price for the LT unless it’s a sane price. Haven’t checked yet. Take care

Was priced too high when it hit over $900, considering I can get a LOT more gun for the same money. People told Beretta to fck off at that price point, so they have dropped to around $650. Are the triggers (trigger shoe) made of polymer or metal? Thanks
@TheArkansasGunGuy

Polymer. Have not looked to see if there is a metal option. guide rod is plastic also - and I know they offer a metal one but a few PX4 experts I know guided me to stay with the polymer option. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!

Were there NP3 parts they couldn’t do? I emailed them and they told me they can do a trigger job and RDO cut but can’t do NP3 internals. Were there certain NP3 parts they couldn’t do for you as well?

that is true. i have two PX4's. One i bought (Full Size) and then sent to LTT and one I bought directly from LTT (Compact Carry). Maybe in my full size the trigger bar is coated but that's it. In the LTT Compact EVERYTHIING inside is coated - including the magainzes. The magazines are super awesome (and I think you can buy those separately) - but in all honesty..... I can't say that the NP3 shoots any better than the non coated one....if I had it to do over would have just bought both from LTT because it's a little cheaper, but I have had zero issues with my full size that didn't have the coating.... actually it's becoming my favorite gun to shoot... makes me look good at the range!!! Thanks so much for watching!!

@@TheArkansasGunGuy I appreciate it. It’s been a battle between this and the 92x and I’m leaning toward the px4. Thank you, very informative awesome video💯💯

How much did you spend sending the full size to Langdon to be upgraded?

Within spec lol. It either resets properly or it doesn’t. If Beretta can’t fix their own pistol they should have replaced it. That’s total BS.

Agree 100%. I would be more sad if I didn’t live the gun so much after Langdon upgrades. Thanks so much for watching!!

The Jamomatic - if a rock small enough gets inbetween the rotating barrel and the lugs of said barrel - that gun will LOCK UP completely. The biggest piece of trash ever for self defense.

worst stock trigger I have ever used to date. unreliable rotating barrel is a gimmick, safety wings shred hands on normal racking process. hard pass on all fronts. more expensive than m&p which has none of those problems and usa made.

The px4 is to fat. Beretta has a long history of terrible design flaws. Someone in R&D makes a decision and the other monkeys just nod their heads in agreement.

DO NOT DROP THESE IN THE DIRT OR MUD! The rotating bolt is the only downfall to these.

"Safety check". buddy if you're filming with live rounds you're a simpleton. No one needs to see you "safety check" every time you touch a gun.,

its just good etiquette, I have no problems with it. Almost all of the "major" guntubers do this as well, and I take it as an opportunity to educate and show good faith to newcomers.
