I love Kurita-san so much ❤️❤️❤️ T-T HE AND KIYOSHI-SAN WERE TOGETHER FOR 26 YEARS DUBBING THE BEST PARTNERS EVER! So much respect they have for each other! I'm sure Yamada-san would be happy seeing his partner did all these amazing things!! T-T

it's nice to see how much he respected Kobayashi for being the original Jigen.

Kinda sucks that Kurita seems like he's got a bit of impostor syndrome here. He really excelled at giving the character a gruffer, more sinister undercurrent in TWCFM and the koike movies

Agreed. It was a good decision that they didn't ask someone other to dub Lupin in the Koike movies or the TWCFM series. In opposite,in english dub they did ask someone new at the role

He still doesn't look confident when he talks about himself replacing Yamada.I hate how japanese people -who are in this case, fans -treat this kind of things.I mean ,yes Yamada was a legend but Kurita does his best too in the role so let's try not to compare him to the previous voice of Lupin.Even if it's hard but in the comparison the result is always that "Yamada is the original and Kurita is only here to replace him and isn't good at all"

to be fair, he was just an impersonator of the Yasuo Yamada back then and he was in the will of Yamada if he die, Kurita would be his successor. but yeah dude still thinks lowly of himself

@@zeronos2844 but I think it used to happen in Japan.I mean not as successor-luckily most of japanese voice actors live a long life-but they just choose not professional voice for a character first time the character appears on screen

If I remember correctly, Yamada himself requested Kurita to replace him at his last will, in case he passed. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does.

@@ognjenmilanovic6154 Before he inherited the role of Lupin from the late Yasuo Yamada, Kanichi Kurita did voice impressions of Yasuo Yamada’s Lupin. One time, he phoned up Yamada leaving a voicemail with his Lupin voice. Yamada replied back and repeated the entire message as it was in his Lupin voice, adding at the end, “You idiot! I’m Lupin!”
