Such an underrated film. An amazing book I remember buying the hardback of and this two set dvd has to be one of the most amazing packages, next to the Alien special editions for extra content. I loved Juliette as Clarice and that moment and exchange between them where he sacrifices a hand for her... Its beautiful.

A very underrated film, never understood why it was considered lesser to the other films featuring Hannibal. A unique character to say the least and by far one of my all time favorites. I never viewed Hannibal as a pure villain, though by no means heroic. To put him a role play context, say a lawful evil or neutral character place might be a place to start. Then again maybe he should remain the enigma he has always been.

I don't like gore or violence, or evil, but you are right. This was. . . Meaningful?? That's not the word I mean but, this was a great film, it was artfully shot. Ridley Scott is my favorite director. Not all of his films, but Alien, Blade Runner, and this for sure.

The way the camera pans across and you can see almost like a pumpkin face like Halloween is genius and very fitting with this film. Hannibal Lecter is the perfect anti-hero he has good in him but also a very darkside. He's likeable, but you'd be cautious of him.
