Not really, wanting your home back isn't a human specific trait. To say Sentinel is as human, is like asserting Humans are the default standard of feeling said feelings. Tbh when Cybertronians are the one's that likely predate humanity, it's more accurate to say humans are like them than to say Sentinel is like us. otherwise They were still gods on earth, could outlive us, leagues better tech, knowledge. The only reason humans survived every event is because of the bots. And if they showed up any earlier in human history. We probably would've worshipped them as we did with the Yautja in AVP The Cybertronians would've wiped us out. No contest. Superior. If the Cons were any smarter they would use our Power grid and nukes against us. So in fact the dialogue on Sentinels part makes no sense because on their world, everyone was par for course, not the same class but the same race. so its on EARTH where they are actually gods because they have inferiors.

Ah Sentinel Prime. Unlike the other "real" villains of the Transformers films, Sentinel was actually a pretty interesting and compelling character. Granted, his plot beats are simple and very much underdevelped, but he has more depth than most Disney twist villains, which is something! His bare-bones character and motivation is enough to add to Dark of the Moon's slight advantage over the rest of the franchise.

@@phantomhd7889he’s not forgetting Lockdown, I think by “real” villains, he means those who have a bit more depth then wanting to kill Optimus, which Sentinel did, Lockdowns still the best villain in the bay movies, but that was more due to his theme and intimidation factor then any sort of depth

Agreed. Sentinel was one of those "do the wrong thing for the right reason" guys who had good intentions but unacceptable methods, where the others were pretty much "pure bad, no good" characters who were just greedy or psychopathic creatures who just turned out to be on the opposite side of the protagonists.

The perfect suite for my favorite Villain in Transformers, Sentinel Prime. Despite what he's done, his intentions were pure. And his talk with Optimus, the quotes he's gave were very much true. The OG voice for Galvatron in G1 was the perfect fit for him. And that's why Sentinel is one of the best post-"original 13" Primes before Optimus rise to leadership. He never was evil, but the means to accomplish his goals led him down the villainous path. He's such a a tragic anti-villain. Truly I hope future versions of the character makes him a tragic Anti-villain, he truly deserves a redemption arc and more love.

A painful truth, Sentinel's last words were no, But he wasn't saying this to beg optimus. Because Optimus had told him “You didn’t betray me, You betrayed yourself”. That's why he said no to Optimus. Because he did not want to admit that he had betrayed, Because he didn't want to kill Optimus from the beginning, He didn't kill Optimus in the first place, he released him. He was waiting for his best student to understand him, He wanted to be with her best friend, Because he didn't want to build Cybertron alone with decepticons, Because this honor could only belong to him and optimus. But the conditions were impossible, the chances of the autobots winning the battle were very low. That's why he had to sign the treaty he didn't want. Before killing ironhide, He sadly confessed his true purpose and plan to Autobots, and He had to kill Ironhide, Because he had to get to the columns and Ironhide could have prevented him there, so he had to get him out of the way, That was the only reason he killed his. One of the basic rules of being Prime is not to harm the living, Maybe he broke the rules here but he was still an Autobot. You can call him a bad guy but he was just a heartbroken because he was thinking about his planet. In fact, he did not want to harm the autobots, He was just trying to stop the autobots from winning. Even in the last fight scene with Optimus, And the last scene was also close to killing his best friend for the sake of the planet in order to disperse the autobots because there was no other choice. You have already noticed from the words. He was talking about saving Cybertron, saying how great his kind was. And He wanted to rebuild his planet so much that this desire made him drunk, and unfortunately he became a victim of his desires, eventually forgetting who he was..😢

He shot one of his highest ranking autobots in the back who he fought with for eons, he murdered him in cold blood to prove a point and get rid of an issue, the way he did it says everything too. Optimus was right to condemn this fool, betrayal is everything I wouldn't forgive that. Think about it, seriously you teach one of these guys for almost both your entire lives or a big chunk of it, then you fight with them as their leader for eons, just to make a deal behind their back, get knocked out and come back just so you can kill that very same student. He woulda bodied Optimus he just saw him as an asset

I agree with you 110% my guy. I've been starting to hear ambient mixes or suites of the Transformers orchestral scores thru the films and everytime I get to Sentinel Prime's leitmotif, it resonated more deeply than I thought when I was a kid. Steve Jablonsky truly made a special theme that was as you said complex emotionally and imo had a somber, empowering but damaging flow thru the orchestration. and each variation of it thru DOTM made it special in each moment and fitted perfectly. Thanks for sharing appreciation to an underrated piece of music in the Transformers franchise and thanks for this suite man 💙

Sentinel is one of my favorites honestly. Such an interesting character in this movie. Someone who thought they were doing the right thing to save lives and a civilization. He thought making a deal with the devil would end well. Sadly he lost his way on walking this path.

I can't even bring myself up to blame him, given how Cybertron looked in the 5th movie. It's a dead planet without anything. The only thing we saw was Quintessa. No civilization. This war would've either led to the death of all Autobots or just the destruction of the Cybertronians. It's honestly really sad how things turned out in the end.

As goofy as these movies were, Sentinel turning on the autobots was a twist I didn’t see coming at the time. His theme is probably my favourite of the entire catalogue of music from the films. You could pretty much swap it out for Optimus.

After that video on learning to love Transformer , i got a pretty different understanding of this movie, Sentinels Cape, Shield, Weapons being that powerfull and being the Only Cybertonian to Have a Colors before coming to earth, its pretty clear he was the Emperor of Cyberton before the war. It also Change greatly The meaning of this scene.

Sentinel head was ksi labs. Megatron was basically reborn as galvatron before he met quesstessia, who changed him back to Megatron

Sentinel in the movie would kills the twin brothers Green and Red Skids and Mudflap but this scene was deleted in fact all the scenes of the two were deleted from the film but in the comics they did die and this scene would happen before Bumblebee attacked the Sentinel and Bumblebee would see the death of both and he would be shocked,sad and angry and that's why he would start attacking the Sentinel but only this part of the Bumblebee was in the movie which is really a shame that these scenes were not in the movie and did not show the death of the twins Autobots 🤔🥺😔🤧 like and bye!
