The shoulder gaps kinda bug me but it looks incredible. Think I prefer it over the Mafex and still can't wait for mine to arrive! Thanks for doing a review!

I'm bothered by the bulges, the gaps, the places where they've decided to put the gaps, how it makes the belly appear in a number of these figures. I just got the much cheaper What If? Marvel Legends Spider-Man here and I'm really enjoying how that appears, it looks a lot more whole rather than compartmentalized or apparent with the different gaps and things, and there are no jarring bulges or anything, and goes nicely in scale with the head size and height with all sorts of other figures, both Marvel Legends and some Diamond Select where a larger size might be acceptable, like for an enemy or something. Mafex is supposed to be higher prices for higher quality and craftsmanship or something, but I was a little disturbed by how easily the head was popping off. I like posing figures, but also playing with them and that they are sturdy and keep together and also that their paint doesn't easily get scratched off and that dents aren't easy to make either. I think for the price in comparison, the Marvel Legends What If? Spider-Man is a lot of fun and looking more "right" to me.

Just got mine. The materials feel great, moulded plastic colour is beautiful, the paint of the web pattern is applied flawlessly, the degree you can bend the arms and legs is good as it gets, the smooth natural and sturdy feel when you swap the hands and body parts is reassuring and the faces are so detailed and look like they jumped right out of the animated movie. All this is at another level to the Mafex Version. Yes the gaping in the shoulders is a minus, but it is such a miniscule issue in comparison to the overall quality of this figure. I still love my Mafex version in his Peter B. look in his soft clothes, and will keep him like that. But just as a Spidey fig, this is the best in it's scale. Even at another level over Mafex's excellent Ben Reilly. Both the Sentinel and Mafex Spidey-verse figs offer the best of their type and have enough differences from each other. Peace✌

They really need to do some comic based Spider-Man figures. I’ve been a mafex fan for years but man oh man is sentinel knocking it out of the park. Didn’t pick this one or miles up but if they do live action or comic based ones in the future I definitely will

That is what I am hoping for as well. Mafex choose the most iconic designs for the most popular characters, this is why they are so appealing, but qc problems still persist. This is where Sentinel could step in.

@@brotherdosco5552 Both my Mafex Comicbook Peter Parker Spider-Man's wrist pegs broke within 5 minutes of me unboxing it. My Mafex Ben Reilly which use the same sculpt is far better quality and is one of the best 1/12 Spider-Man around. So Mafex have improved But still, their are paint imperfections which you shouldn't expect at their price. The paint on my Sentinel Miles is perfect compared to my Mafex. I display my Sentinel Miles wearing the Mafex versions soft clothes and to finish the look; The Mafex Michael Jordan official Nike Air Jordan one sneakers. Perfect!

@@cookedit sentinel figures are what mafex figures looked like to me 5 years ago. It’s like playing a video game when you were young; the graphics were so good, but then you realize… technology is advancing and so should the quality of the figures. I hope mafex improves the good and fixes the bad in line with sentinel. At the same time, I hope sentinel uses their brains and realizes both of these releases selling out means they have a huge line on their hands and need to expand their future releases. Maybe it was a one off deal. Who knows. But I’m hoping we get more.

@@frmacst108 The frustrating thing is that Mafex have shown they can do better but then also can be lazy. A good comparison is my Dark Knight Triumphant Batman; all the paint that highlights the intricate rip, scuffs, scratches, sores and dirt is applied perfectly, super detailed heads and flawlessly painted bat emblem, all perfectly captures the graphic novels artwork. A true 10/10 figure of the year contender. Then you have the exact same mould on my Dark Knight Returns Batman in the 2 pack with Robin; a much less intricate and less difficult figure to paint, with sloppily applied paint on the Bat emblem when it is such an easy design, yellow paint splash of the knife strap on the leg, badly paint heads. How they got the more difficult one of the two so right and after that messed up the easier one to paint is so puzzling?!

I didn’t like the expressive head sculpt until I saw someone add a spider sense effect with sticky tack and it just completely made sense after that!

Thanks for showing the trunks in the video. I spoke to you on Twitter about my duplicate trunks. I've contacted Sentinel, but they don't deal with product issues. I bought it from Amazon, but they don't have a replacement. So, no idea what I should do. Glad yours is okay.

I have two different trunks but my more fit trunk has a Larger slot for the peg so it doesn’t click which means I can’t make the Peter Parker that I actually bought it for 😞

@@malcolmthomasjr2877 Are you sure the trunks are different? Mine came with two of the same. As one had been on the figure in the box, the waist hole had stretched a little, but once I saw the difference in D Amazing's video, I realised there had been a mistake. Sentinel wouldn't send a replacement and stores had sold out, but I contacted their manufacturer/distributer who were very kind to send a alternative pair of trunks. The difference was clear once I received it.

2 things I am surprised about that people don't talk about; how the web pattern on the outfit is applied so much better than the Mafex version and shines and pops like the animated movie and the ridiculously large hands, that are really are distracting.

I could definetly say in my opinion, this is the best spiderman ever realesed so far. Some issues i have from the figure is that you cant remove the web shooting webs from his thwiping hands. Another one issue is that i wished they could gave us more eye expresions Its not that much bad but sure enough if you want a very poseable spiderman, i think this is a good choice along with some sh figuarts and mafex figures

I'd say this and the Mafex Ben Reilly (which a huge improvement quality wise over previous Mafex Spidey's) are the best. We truly have reached the golden era of action figure collecting when it comes to variety, accuracy and quality.

The MAFEX Into Spiderverse figures are some of my favorite figures (especially with the cloth goods), but Sentinel Miles is really superb and this figure looks astonishing. I got the one with the Gargoyle, but (as I got 2 of each MAFEX so far), I really want a 2nd one of this figure.
