Correction for you! The second figure you show, is not Legacy, It is Champion Bot, which is Unity's Bot form of Legacy. Legacy is standing up.

You should try putting a wash on the models. That should bring out the detail and you could use different colors for heroes an villains. And you can still paint them later if you want to.

That's what I was about to post. A wash is an easy fix that requires no skill.
