Yeah I played @ 8k/60 on my JVC RS3100 Projector (laser based) on a 150'" screen... It was awesome. Honestly though, I could not tell much of a diffence from running 4k/120hz... running a ASUS 4090 OC

So glad I play at 3440x1440, haha a resolution ny 4090 can cope with. Although I do play at 3500x3470 per eye in VR and it's good for 90 fps.

4090 is not enough for Next-gen games on Native 4K. The 5090 will run 4K easily, And the 6090 will play 8K comfortably.. We have 4 more years for 8K Gaming...

when you're running a game at high resolutions u should turn anti-aliasing off because the game has enough information to not have visual aliasing and if you're super-sampling it will automatically use ssaa which is one of the best anti-aliasing methods.

@@BenchmarkBoy no , just seems that you don't utilize all the capacity of the 4090 (depending on what card you use).

@@Mre942 if gpu usage is maxed out (which it is here) then it doesn't matter how much power its using. Some games need more power to hit 100% usage than others. For example, same settings on cyberpunk and my gpu would be 400w+. As long as you hit 99-100% gpu usage then it doesnt matter

at 8k with dlss ultra perf, you're basically playing at 8k with everything rendered at 720p

It renders at 1440p then it is upscaled to 8k. DLSS Ultra Performance renders at 33% of what ever resolution you play at and then upscales to it.

@@BenchmarkBoy yeah, me too... but based on the most recent leaks, it's not going to feature fully unlocked die 😔 so it will "only" have about 480bit bus and 28 GB VRAM (14x 2GB chips). The fully unlocked die would be 512 bit memory bus and 32GB VRAM. Maybe they want to launch a 5090Ti later on?

@@BenchmarkBoy Looks like the 5090 might have 32GB of VRAM so might be worth retesting? I think this will be the first 8k videocard (or 8k60+) for AAA gaming tbh especially with DLSS etc.

@@tourmaline07 for this specific game maybe but for newer it will follow the same root at the 4090 and probably the first gpu that can finally play in some games path tracing at native 4 at 30 fps
