Just came across your channel. I did a video about Seoul in January 2023 when it was extremely cold. Still enjoyed it, but this video makes me want to go back.

The palace photos look amazing with so many people dressed up. I answered my own question, but I was about to ask why so many people were wearing the traditional clothing (if it was ceremonial, just for fun or for the free entrance) but it seems like there's an ongoing campaign to encourage and celebrate Hanbok and there's lot of clothing rentals too. That is really cool.

thank you so much! haha yeah, i think it's such a great way to 1. introduce hanbok to foreigner and 2. support local businesses that rent them. i've never worn hanbok to any of the palaces in korea, but it definitely made me want to do it sometime!

Great video, I never knew about the different color meaning, I've seen it all over SK through my travels there. Now it makes sense. At Gwanjang Market, usually the food stall chooses you, don't forget to BYOS. Soju Power.
@yewonperry8 ай бұрын
haha yesss BYOS!! it's really cool to see things from different perspectives once you become more aware of certain traditional elements like those five colors!

Love it. I was in Korea 2017 and it was one of the greatest experiences at all. We are still completely into Korean food and culture. And I also have one shit from the temple in Seoul I really love...
