The Confederacy of Independent Systems, shorted to CIS, and also known as the Separatist Alliance, was founded on the grounds of excessive taxation and corruption within the Galactic Senate. Thus in response, the CIS declared war on the Republic. In this episode of Star Wars Declassified, we take a look at all the command structure of the CIS, along with its military ranks of both the army and navy.

Who is your favorite CIS officer? Personally, I really like Kleeve, the most down to earth Separatist general we've seen in Star Wars media. Loyal to the cause, but also not foolish. Wish we got to see more like him in The Clone Wars.

The Separatists were awesome villains, wish we could have seen more of the CIS council in TCW though and it’s a shame they killed off most of the original CIS villains too quickly like Sobeck and Riff Tamson.

I wish we saw the non-droid and non-clone aspect of the Clone Wars. No doubt the *vast* majority of soldiers fighting in the war weren't clones or droids, but soldiers of planetary defense forces and mercenaries.

Actually, no. The vast majority of the fighting was done by droids and clones- that was part of the reason that the Republic was losing.

I did a CIS admiral cosplay, it turned out well but I kept with the doctrine that there was no true uniform,so I went to CIS member world styles and historic references.

Thought this applies mostly for Canon, what rank would Durge have in the Separatist Military, talking about Legends?. Commander like Assaj Ventress or even Colonel or General?. Great video.
