Seems that the Vulture Droid is a far better TIE Fighter than the actual TIE Fighter is. I mean, its a small, fast, highly maneuverable short range fighter, that is purposefully designed to be disposable, except you aren't spending huge amounts of time, money and effort to train highly skilled fighter pilots, just to get them instantly killed

It’s also much easier to store and deploy, and can preform much tighter and disorienting manoeuvres. Honestly if they had shields they’d be borderline overpowered. Hell they can even serve a role against hijackers on their capital ship!

In terms of roles every single droid including the B1 actually performs it's job extremely well. The only upgrade I would give it would be a an improved targeting system because for the most part you do just see droid shooting quite inaccurately.

It's interesting to consider how much resources each fighter type cost, and how if the CIS _was allowed to play for the win,_ what would be their ideal mix. Which units had the best bang for your buck, and which were best for taking out elite pilots like Jedi for which cheap swarm tactics probably wouldn't be as effective.

The Droid Fighter and Tanks are probably the superior vehicle in Combat because the Droids do not require any life support systems. Hell I'd say everything higher than a B1 and B2 was more effective than everything the Clones had.
