I’ve started playing him. He’s definitely not a top tier but he’s decent. His biggest issue is speed. Most of this boys attacks are kinda slow and/or have a decent bit of end lag. Other than that he’s good. His range is mad thicc and he’ll send u to the shadow realm hella quick with that knock back power. Overall he’s fun imo

He has an aerial that can be spammed with absolutely zero end lag and THREE that can kill from a platform away.. the end lag does not matter. He’s also stupid fast what do you mean speed?? You mean frame data? It’s not necessary with that range plus his frame data is better than Byleth’s

@@patrickburton1401 no you can’t spam his ariels. They’re predictable af. The only one that u kinda can get away with is the up air. Trust me once he fights a speedy character or a character that’s a high pressure character he has a really rough time. His frame data does matter. Dodge his attack or just block it and you get a free punish. I think he has potential to be a high tier character but we gotta see where the meta takes him. He annihilates bad characters but like...that doesn’t help. He’s good against slow characters but not good against characters like pikachu and joker and even Mario. Sephiroth’s running speed isn’t good unless he gets winged mode. Also he becomes combo food if you hit him cuz his hit box is massive, yet he dies pretty early. I think he can be a high tier if you’re really good and keeping your distance from enemy. Otherwise you’re gonna get bullied a bit

@@texmexlink I’m not saying to spam them. I’m saying that he has 1 that does not have crazy start up or end lag. That’s all you need. The rest are AMAZING at what they do. Also his turn around is very fast. His sprint is good. His fall speed is fast. He can schmoove. I have no idea what you mean by he’s slow. His end lag is bad on moves that you aren’t going to use in neutral so there is counter play to not get punished.. also given they’re safe with the range.

me and my friend played him for 3 hours after launch at 5pm and we were both just super underwhelmed by his kit, we also looked for some of his combos but really couldnt find anything other than nair -> nair -> nair.
