I would just like to remind people - if you want to test out a product and you’re at Sephora when it’s not busy, you can ask the employee to make you a sample! It doesn’t work for all products (ie probably not lipsticks), but for complexion products it’s pretty easy. They put it in a small container that can be about 2-3 full face applications to try at home or with your other products. I do that all the time for new foundations I’m interested in, and most recently for the glow recipe bronze drops ( which I am planning to buy, fell in love). But yeah, this can be a less wasteful (and cheaper!) way to try stuff out to see how it wears on your skin.

Ocular rosacea girl here with possibly the world's most sensitive eyes. My recommendation for a 100 percent mineral sunscreen safe for non-irritating use on eyelids is Elta's tinted mineral sunscreen in SPF 50, particularly if you have warm colored skin. I am a cool summer girl here, so I wind up having to use color correction after applying that sunscreen just to bring me back to a cooler shade. Still, I love that formula and use it all over my face every day. Couple caveats to mention though: 1) It takes a little time to dry so make sure you give yourself time for that before getting dressed if you apply it to your neck or else you'll spend $ on dry-cleaning. 2) it's great for my dry skin, but people with not as dry skin might not like the way it feels. I'm personally intrigued by the comment I saw about using bronzer drops in mineral sunscreen. I'll be trying that too.

I also get a burning sensation/watery eyes with chemical sunscreen. I started using a tinted mineral sunscreen around my eyes only and haven't had the problem since.

I also skip sunscreen on my eyelids, but for as many awful burns as I've gotten in my life, I've never gotten a burn between my eyebrows and lashes! I have a strong brow bone, and I don't think yours is weak, either! My skull naturally shaded my eyes a bit lol

I love the Milk Makeup Jelly Blushes. I love it on my cheeks and lips! I’m no makeup expert, but I applied the blush on a dense brush, first pat it on the back of my hand, and then dab it on my cheek. It stays the entire day and in my experience it isn’t patchy. I absolutely love it.

pale girl here! i mix the d-bronzi drops with my mineral sunscreen. i haven’t tried the super goop one. i recently bought the pacifica bronzer drops which i think are just as good as the drunk elephant.

I am really enjoying the new Saie concealer so far. The Caliray is good too, but the shades are more corrector colors than true concealer so sometimes when I wear it on its own I’m not 100% sure I like the shade. If they come out with actual concealer shades in this formula I’ll be happy. I’m definitely shopping the sale. I like to stock up on the things I use daily as well as grab anything new I haven’t already purchased.

Everyone is sleeping on the Paula’s Choice Defense Essential Glow mineral sunscreen. It is AMAZING! It’s not sticky, it blurs slightly, it’s hydrating, leaves the perfect amount of non-sparkly glow, doesn’t leave a cast, and works great under makeup. Favorite sunscreen I’ve ever tried.

I feel like Supergoop would get more people on board with their cream eyeshadow if they removed the glitter flakes and re-marketed it as an eyeshadow base. I like that idea, but I’m not a fan of the chunkier glitter.

I think this review could be a little bit misleading (not the whole review) but Most mineral sunscreens are meant for oily skin, (dermatology speaking) and supergoop mineral sunscreen is for oily skin. And as you said, you have a dry skin. it’s just for a type of skin you don’t have.

I really liked the Supergoop! Protectint. It has a natural finish and is not heavy. Coverage is on the light-medium side, though, which I prefer for daytime. I have normal to oily skin too, if that helps.

I’m planning on buying the Charlotte Tilbury powder (finally) and the Skinfix set with the serum and the newly reformulated moisturizer since I know I like the serum and want to try the moisturizer. I’m tempted to buy the Natasha Denona concealer because I’ve heard so many good things, but I feel like it’s going to be too much coverage since I only wear skin tints; more specifically the YSL one. The cooling warming milk makeup the jelly type well I thought it was so cool and I do not put it on straight to the face I always use a brush and it blended out so well and I'm fair so I added 2 more on my list for the Sephora sale😊

With the jelly, milk, blush stains I kind of had a thought. What if if you spray setting spray while you’re applying it do you think that would help make it easier to apply? I’m new to make up, so I’m just trying to ask all the questions. ❤

I have been using the Fenty concealer for about 2 weeks and I noticed that I don’t have to powder my under eyes since it pretty much sets itself and if I do, I have creases…coverage isn’t great as well since it couldn’t even cover the my acne😢 I might have to try the Natasha Denona concealer.

Try to first get milk jelly blush on the brush. Don’t apply it directly to the skin, it’s a big mistake. I love them

Old person has entered the chat. How many times has someone over 40 told you that you look like an either a Carrie Fisher or Linda Blair (when they were young, obviously)? Supergoop products are like mace to my eyes, so I use Asian sunscreens. I don’t understand the Hue Drops. I liked them, but I just bought the Revlon glowy products in a darker shade and mix it in with my sunscreen or skin tint. It costs way less than $35 (or $28 with 20% off) and it was inexpensive enough that I can put it on my shoulders and décolleté as well all summer so I match. Aren’t we all going to cover it up with sunscreen and complexion products on our faces anyway?? I guess I don’t get it. The MILK jelly blushes are great, but you gotta stamp them on your cheeks and tap it out with your finger, building until you get the tint you want (not dot it on on spot and then slowly reach for your brush). It is perfect during the summer for a monochromatic sunny and flushed blush and lip that will stay on through the heat. It is super cute with freckles and glowy skin care.

Saie does sell the blush in a peach shade and it's been my favorite for a couple years! I never bothered to try other liquid blushes because it was so good I didn't see a point!

I am not going to shop the sale but I have my eye on some things it’s just not the time to buy. But I do think I want the ND face and eye palette. I think it would be great for travel! And I like that the pans are magnetic so I could swap the shadows with my other ND palettes to bring the perfect ones on a given trip. My hesitation is I will be so bummed if she comes out with another color way that has a peachier blush 😅 I don’t have other ND cheek pans so those shades would hard to swap even if they are magnetic. So idk I’m waiting but we’ll see if I bite the bullet before one of my vacations later this year

The caliray concealer was a big 👎 for me. IMO This is a minimal make up wearer alley. Its great if you can find a color that works for and if your looking for a super light coverage no make up but you want a lil something. It does not crease its a bit glowy but not to glowy but I did NOT feel like it brighten enough because my med skin I'm in between color choices and it did not work to layer another concealer on top. Also I have hyperpigmentation needs but its too sheer liquidity to give me any helpful color correcting 🤷‍♀️.

When you used the D Bronzi drops from DE, did you mix it with a moisturizer or primer? Because if you use it on its own it's definitely going to look patchy and too saturated on light skin tones. I love to use it mixed in with a moisturizer or to darken a foundation that's too light 😊

Yes! That’s actually the skin tone it’s designed for! I use it all over but you might prefer it for brightening the under-eye area!

If you are using a water resistant spf and you apply it carefully you will not get into the eyes 😊 I use spf every day and I apply it this way and I don’t have any problems

Definitely put SPF on your eye lids! They are the thinnest layer of skin on the face and still need sun protection! Just find one that’s not irritating to your eyes if you sweat (or cry lol) a lot! 😊

I use Japanese and korean sunscreens and I don’t ever have issues with eye sting! But the only US sunscreen that doesn’t burn my eyes is the kids Black Girl Sunscreen

I always do because that's what I've seen dermatologists recommend, and I already have risk factors for skin cancer. I'm a cryer though, and Anerican chemical sunscreens definitely burn my eyes. So I'll either use Korean chemical sunscreens which don't burn my eyes, or just do mineral sunscreen.
