Great videos. I love how they’re about the tech and not about what Tesla/Porsche you bought but is now broke.

Nice build! Thanks for sharing! Getting closer to needing that 48v inverter… I like the build quality of the cases they offer, just the price is hard for me to swallow. That and I’m not really a fan of the BMS. In regards to the washers on the cells, are they copper washers? I’ve always been told you want to have the bus bars directly in contact with the cell terminal.

Getting very close 😁 I'm thinking of the LV6548, I've had a crush on that unit for a while now 😂 In my next video ill test the resistance between the cells with and without the washers. If I decide to keep the washers on I will further test it in the future.

I'd have one tip for you to consider. The rear battery cells only support the square beams in the centre, top and bottom of the rear wall. The battery cells will expand over time and it would be better if they had full support for their complete surface on the back wall. It would be good to fill the rear section with precision cut wood in the gap between the rear beams on the rear wall. I know it requires disassembling the whole battery, but it's worth considering. I saw on another KZbin video that they filled it in so that the rear battery cells also have back wall support across their full surfaces.

That is great advice. I have some 1/8 aluminum plate kicking around. Thanks

@@Roll2Videos Hi, I sent the same advice to Andy from Off-Grid Garage and he has already put aluminium plates in the back of one of his Mason battery kit, he has just published a video on this little modification.

Make sure you update the BMS firmware, don't add the skimpy clear plastic for under the lid, it will just fall off, cell balancing is terrible with seplos BMS but you can add an active balancer if you want

Nice video, I'm curious how you're going to struggle with Seplos BMS as another. The packaging has improved since I saw the earlier videos, so there was everything stacked in the main battery box without packing in a cardboard box.

Could it function as a dual 24v battery?

Cool idea! I would need two separate BMS's. it is doable, 🤔

@@Roll2Videos I know 48v batteties/systems are much more efficient but I just love being able to give things a dual usage whenever possible, just cause u never know?
