I love foxes so so much and think they are underrated and haunted too much, at least at my place. Forest is such an inspiration because it's simply breathtaking, I love spending time in the forest and look out for the deer and foxes lol. I love your video and it makes me inspired for fall... I can't help it - I love when you breakout the detail brush with your gouache. The finished product is always amazing! You mentioned that the second fox didn't pop as much as the first, which got me wondering. You always use cutout paper, what if you tried doing that with your drawings/paintings? Trying that technique might make something you want to stand out - like the fox - pop more. Just a thought. Plus, gouache always pops more than watercolor, in my opinion. Can't wait to see what October's spread will be!!

Thank you so much, Robin! 🥰 I sometimes use cut out paper and gouache but I also like to switch it up and do different things (so there's some variations to people who maybe don't have all the same tools). The texture of watercolors and gouache is a little bit different but I think using gouache on that fox to fix some of the coloring would've worked well! I was rushing that paint job a little bit because the page was taking way more time than I signed up for so I didn't do my best there, haha 😄

I always love those Dutch doors with decorations all around. Sadly I’ve discovered that these are not functional for me. I need the paper in the bottom of the page to flip. I cut it off once for an entire month and regretted it every day 😱😁

Could you make a video someday about how you come up with theme ideas and how you plan and do those spreads? Maybe also things that you need now, still use or let go of within the past years? (For example your monthly calendar is relatively small, I always use a two-page calendar. I think I was just thought the way of a monthly plan from my family)
