Im always impressed with the land you have down there. You take care of it well too. Ive been thinking about getting a drone. The aerial footage looks nice. Im cutting greenfeed up here. Should be done it soon. Best wishes my friend.

@@thecamocowboyoutdoors5693 thanks. I have some more of me actually combining and trying to fly the drone at the same time. That's a little tricky. I haven't put any of that together yet to throw on here but maybe someday I'll get to it. It's always interesting to me to see how other folks's land lays. I saw you cutting oats it looked like. It looks like really good stuff and a good crop of it. Should make some really nice feed. It's been warm here. Does not feel like October.

@AgWildNebraska We didn't get any frost up here until the 2nd of October. Never seen it go that late in my life. Still not enough frost to kill the oats yet.

So glad to hear this year is better, you had it pretty bad the last couple. Drone footage looks good from here, you're a better pilot than i was. I was happy to see some of my hay seed coming up today in spite of it being so dry.
@AgWildNebraskaАй бұрын
Well that's good that you got some hay coming. I have a couple thin areas on that alfalfa that I seeded last spring, but reseeding this fall just isn't going to work as it's turned dry again. That drone was a Christmas gift that I got early. The mailman or FedEx or UPS or whoever delivered it and the dog pretty much had the whole package opened up when I got home. Luckily he didn't tear into any of the vitals.

Everyone from home up to St. Cloud MN, to Fargo and back were in the fields this past week. Pretty good pilot in my book. You didn't land upside-down. Doc

Yeah they are worrying about field fires now so got to be careful I guess. I think it was almost 90 yesterday. You know what's going to happen is we're going to have a week of fall and straight to winter. I don't know about that drone yet. I've had it almost a year but there's not too many days where the wind isn't blowing 100 mph where I can use it.
@martinbenton74229 күн бұрын
@AgWildNebraska same thing when I had a bunch of RC planes. Wind everyday. I'd like to try a drone sometime but don't want to spend a bank roll.

We still have several more weeks for beans, mostly because I had to replant and they are still green. Corn is looking like it might get done before beans. There has only been a handful of fields harvested so far. Best of luck to you.

I finished beans yesterday morning. Currently sitting in the tractor, waiting on a semi pick the last ones up. They could have used another rain to finish them out but overall they were good.

I’m gonna start beans tomorrow. Probably could’ve today but it’ll still be the first time in a very, very long time that we’ve done any beans in September.

Our gas 4400 had a black guage that mounted to the feederhouse for header height awareness i guess youd call it. The old head we had had a luv bar and all i remember is how bad it shook the whole machine. Was always fun to get to corn so it wasn't so shaky in the cab. We upgraded to a 215 and thought we died and went to heaven even though it didn't have poly on the skids. Glad you were able to get a well deserved good crop
@AgWildNebraska29 күн бұрын
Our older 4400 had that gauge on the feeder house too but I never saw it work. I think the linkage was froze up or something. Yeah it was about time it grew something. It makes up a bit for all those past yields that started with a decimal point.

We’re hoping to start beans this week. Good video 👍

Wow…looks dry. Very few beans cut here yet 🤷♂️🙂. Good luck flying
@AgWildNebraskaАй бұрын
It is dry. The rain shut off I think in August and I don't think there's any in the forecast for as far out as they try to predict. We could use a little of that hurricane moisture up there where they don't need any extra.
@michiganhay7844Ай бұрын
Thankfully, another year of no drought on your previous video as fascinated by the narrow front and 4430 wonder if that was custom or did they actually make that from the factory?
@AgWildNebraskaАй бұрын
Well it was green most of this summer. It shut off the first part of August or so. You know a narrow front was optional on a 4230. And as far as that 44, whether it's factory or not, I couldn't tell you. I think you could take a narrow front off of a 4020 and stick it under a 4430 if you wanted to. If I were to guess I would say somebody swapped a narrow front under a wide front tractor.

If you gobble a skunk through the machine the smell cleans out pretty quick i got a mama with 5 babies trailing along by the 3rd dump i could get in the back to look for chopper damage and barely smell it the graincart operation told me the way fur and stew meat were flying they had to go through the chopper I imagine the feederhouse and cylinder were the worst end by the time that 140 acres was run through the machine I couldn't smell anything up there either

@@AgWildNebraska I don't recommend it because it's horrible for a long time and opening windows doesn't help a Massey with the engine beside the cab above the feederhouse is really bad according to my dad he actually zig-zagged around the field so fast he almost slugged the machine he just saw the wheat moving and thought it was the beaver dropping trees along the field he carries a rifle and 12 gauge with double ought buck now
