Our black cat Onyx was a stray. I fed him for 6 months and he wouldn't let me near him. One day in December he hid between my Australian Shepard legs and snuck inside. He has never gone back outside and is now a cuddly lovey.

My black cat was my best friend for 16 years. They really are the best cats! My friend always called him the mink cat and I think it's a great description. I live with the person who says they're between 3 things on the menu and then orders something completely different so I can relate! I second the suggestions of Robin Pickens and Erin Elizabeth! Your videos are such a joy to watch...they always make me smile!

I love Tony. I've had 2 black cats in my life, and they were/are both determined little purrballs. I love all my cats, but Shadow and Ace are special. I'd love to see Boomerang Stitches as a designer next year. Gorgeous finishes.

Your videos are always so much fun. I couldn't help noticing the last screenshot of your darling face. It reminded me of a nursery rhyme that was told to me as a little girl. It is, "There was a little girl who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very very good. But when she was bad, she was HORRID! You have just enough spunk in your videos it reminded me of this nursery rhyme. I'm now 79 years old and can still remember that old saying. A friend’s daughter has opened a Child Learning Center for 1-4 year olds with Downs Syndrome and is using the ones I have finished as teaching pictures! The kids love them as well❤️🤗❤️

Thank you for the video. Loved the needlepoint falcon. we have a falcon that hunts in our old cow pasture. I too have 3 cats, a yellow tabby, a grey cat and a calico. The calico is the only girl we got her after I lost my 12 year old black cat named Minky She was my stitching buddy. I think all of your cats are beautiful. I am a big fan of the Blue Flower and of course you. Hooray for another Jingle Ball!

My friends had the same situation but with a neighbor's dog. They finally were able to adopt the dog and Korra is much healthier and happier now. Black cats are great! We have two that are sisters.

Oh Steph, you should definitely stitch Merry Meowies! They look just like your fur babies and it’s one of my favorite Homespun designs. I’ve heard tales that parlor panthers are chronic over-eaters so you have to be very strict with their diets. 🙂 For 2025 Jingle Ball I recommend Summer House Stitche Workes. I went to a retreat last year where Beth from SHSW was the designer, and I would go out of my way to take another class with her in the future. ❤ -Leah Noel

We have two black cats. No night-time trip to the bathroom is safe 😂. They deliberately camouflage themselves around the house - sitting on black pillows, or piles of black washing. Despite the fact that I feed and care for them, they both adore my 16-year-old son. On summer evenings, they sit outside the windows staring in with only their glowing eyes visible - distinctly spooky.

Thank you so much for another video that makes me laugh. I own a clowder of black cats--five in all. They are lovely and each of them have completely different personalities. If you get any trick-or-treaters and your Tony likes to be at the door when the doorbell rings, be prepared that folks will comment on you owning black cats. Happens a lot more than you'd think 😄 For Jingle Ball 2025, I think you've got to have Lola Crow or The Stitch Crypt. Perhaps she'll do a festive Christmas snail! 🐌
