SEPTEMBER RESET ROUTINE | goal setting, monthly reflection & current favourites

We still celebrate the day we got together. It was an entire thing where when we were at the beginnig we decided that every month of being together is worth it. So we upheld the tradition to at least go on a small date each month on the 5th. And so every 5th of june we still celebrate despite being married for 8 years now. We have overall been together for 12 years

We celebrate every anniversary because why not?! It’s an excuse to spend the day / some time together, reminiscing about how much you’ve grown since you were those people and typically feeling super grateful ❤❤ We are in the same boat where we don’t do gifts, but the acknowledgement is enough!

My husband and I celebrate our “met-iversary” (11 years,) “date-iversary” also our “engage-iversary” (11 years,) courthouse ceremony anniversary (7 years) & our wedding anniversary (7 years). We like to celebrate our love everyday but these 4 days are super special.

Carter- "I wanted to take it slow in August and not have too many goals or focuses." Me- "Umm, you listed your house for sale, celebrated your birthday, created youtube videos, was showing your house regularly, read several books, planned two vacations, worked a regular job, and almost bought another house. I don't think 'a slow month' or 'an easy month' mean the same thing to both of us." 😅😂😂🤣😉 you are insanely productive in a slow month lol

In all fairness, most of those things did not happen in August- I could not possibly have done all of that in 1 month 😅 All that happened in August was work, reading and repeat. We stopped looking at houses (in late July actually) & only had a few showings which was refreshing and the whole reason I was able to slow down! The key is that I was able to focus on all of those things BECAUSE I took the month off of goal setting. I am very conscious of the content I put online because I always want to promote rest/slowing down while also getting things done and don't want it to ever be perceived as I don't slow down. It just goes to show how we all perceive things differently! August was such a slow month to me compared to June/July but to viewers it may have seemed busy!

Because it’s been such a bad couple of months for thrillers, I would HIGHLY recommend Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris. It is a little slow in places but the plot line and the characters are all really well done. I really think you would like it!😊

Im not married but my friend who is they celebrate all 3- the day they met/started dating, their engagement date, and their wedding anniversary. Of course they dont do so much for the first 2 (dating and engagement) but I think they are all significant in their own way :) 21:30

All that changed in this reset was I took out the budgeting... the goal setting stayed the exact same! ☺️ I just chose not to set many goals for this month since we are starting the moving process! But the goals aren't gone for good or anything just taking a break this month while I get it all sorted!

I have bad carpal tunnel so I had to stop writing them out on paper and do them digitally but I still normally talk through all of them, this month was just abit hectic and I decided to not set any goals because we move in Oct!! 💕
