If you watch closely you'll see a number of the orchestra getting into the songs, it's hard not to with the amount of energy these guys bring to the music
@WatchRayPlay11 ай бұрын
I would hope their appreciation of music helps, though I can bet there's a few going "we are really playing for these guys??" However nowadays it's less and less of a surprise to see orchestral ensemble blending live with metal. Dimmu borgir, Metallica, Yngwie Malmsteen, and many more have done such performances available on youtube

I don't really listen to Septicflesh, but I saw a nice looking thumbnail of the live performance of Persepolis, and next thing you know I spent my day watching this concert on repeat, and yes for the entirety of the concert I had grimace of war because well how could I not when the music is so greasy as fuck. Bravo, everyone involved, this is phenomenal.

Me watching: "There I am!" "There I am again!" LOL. It was a GREAT concert, LOVED hearing it with all the pieces in place. That song has been my ringtone for years, that opening vocal "Again, again you try to find me. You seek the one not willing to be found", so perfect. Too bad we couldn't actually "destroy" ;) No moshing allowed in that venue (for obvious reasons). Still a great show though.

This song is sooo bombastic, it's crazy. But I always found it weird how he pronounces Pyramid like Pi-ramid instead of Pee-ramid.
@UraniosMechanicos4 жыл бұрын
Yeap, and imagine that since Spiros (aka "Seth") is Greek and the word Pyramid in greek (Πυραμίδα) is spoken very similar to the english version since it is anyway a greek word, it is even more strange, so I guess he either changed the word to sound better while sung (thus some kind of poetic license) or he didn't know the right english pronunciation of the word when recording the song but he had to stick to it for continuity reasons.
@kimsmith66664 жыл бұрын
It's his accent They are greek, and great. I've seen them live 4 times and they blow me away every time
@UraniosMechanicos4 жыл бұрын
@@kimsmith6666 Yeap, but I assure you (as a Greek) that in Greek it is pronounced as in English (Pee-ramid) and not like Pi-ramid as he sings it. I guess he didn't know how it was pronounced in English when he wrote the lyrics and he sung it for the first time or they've altered the pronunciation in order to sound better with the flow of the song (some kind of "poetic license" used in many ways).

Actually i don’t think so, the pyramid god concerns itself with the idea of being able to live in the fourth dimension, untied by time itself and looking at past, present and future (the three points on a triangle) at the same time. What an understanding of reality that would bring along and so on and so forth. That’s the gist of the notes that can be seen in the disc booklet

In 1.27 you see the violins and the violas not playing. Next you see the cellos are certaintly playing and you can hear them but in 1.31 violins and violas are showing playing yet you can't hear them. And in 1.38 again they're not playing. The same happens again right away when they repeat the chorus. Weird

Clouds of higher particles charge jump to clouds of lower charge; heat lightening, as nature seeks a balance. One there is enough charge powered up lightning jumps across the air insulator just like an arc welder as lightning jumps to nuclear electromagnetic earth ground. Below a pyramid is a spring. If you can connect two water tables of electrical conductivity with charged particles you will cause low pressure surge and bring rain back to the earth and crops. If that ground dries too much it becomes an electrical insulator. On top of the pyramid was a gold cap. If there were conductors running from the gold caps to earth ground through the spring maybe Benjamin Franklin would have been driving a car. The spirit s down here was in Egypt I'm pretty sure it might have been inspired by it's imagination

I don't like this particular tune because I don't like the lead singer on this track. And let's be honest, some metal is a lot of noise. But for those who think that is always true, they should listen to Avantasia, Ayreon, Kamalot, Ghost, Porcupine Tree, and Sonata Arctica...all good examples of melodic metal with a classical influence.
