This album to me is Sepulturas finest hour. As much as I love Max era. Bestial Devestation and Morbid visons being their death metal days Schizophrenia, Beneath and arise They were straight thrash. Until chaos and roots more Metal and Nu metal. This album in the Derrick era does something Max era didn't and couldn't do due to Max not singing or being able to do certain things. I truly think this is Sepulturas Best album to date. And I'm a fan of Max so all of you on his nuts don't talk shit its my opinion. They just took this album to a whole other level. It's heavy, it's thrashy, it's dark and it's emotional. Topping this album is gonna be something else.

During the session in Sweden, Sepultura recorded a cover of the theme song "Ultraseven no Uta" - it featured as a bonus track on the Machine Messiah special edition, along with the song "Chosen Skin".

I like this album for the most part, best thing since Dante XXI or whatever xxxiiiiiiixxx....yeah, anyways as much as I respect the acoustic pieces, they need to stick with the heavy guitars, fast drums and harsh vocals. That's what defines Sepulturs. No, I am not gonna sit here and wish that Max and Igor were back because that would take away from the progression and technical parts they have developed over the years. This lineup is fine.

this is what happens when the record producer gets too involved; the technical side outshines the musical. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Sepultura had more musical and catchy songs during the Max era. IMHO!

The last cavalera conspiracy album wasn't that bad, it was definitely better than their 2014 album, that was terrible! Soulfly, after conquer that band died. They were headed the right direction with conquer and then all the sudden they started going kind of nowhere. As far as Sepultura goes I would love it if they made up one more album that was in the direction of Beneath The Remains, but more technical. That would be the perfect record. Quadra is definitely really damn good. It's their best record since Dante.
