The difference from going through the Behringer DeepMind's 'factories' and this is fascinating: where the Behringer just leaves you lost in what the hell one should ever use that preset for, the Take 5 instantly inspires to perform. One gets sucked into the Sequential just by watching. I guess that explains double the price.
@PinkBuddhaAcademy2 жыл бұрын
Lol...yeah, I thought the Deepmind sounded horrible
@hermano81602 жыл бұрын
Not horrible but not nearly as urgent as a Sequential, very true. Overall unaccessible for ad hoc performance and intuitive hands-on. It sure is good for the money with powerful app and all but all that power is cumbersome to really engage with.
@ClubNoiseband2 жыл бұрын
Yeah deep mind doesn’t compare to this - this sounds much better. And Deep mind is missing the fun factor. Too many options and menues, no intimacy. I prefer synths like this now that I think about it

Beautiful sounds. Really appeals. Is there anything in this compact size that sounds better than this? In an analog kind of way. I already have an Argon 8, which cover the more digital realm. I also have a Summit, but I want something I can take with me easily. This synth seems ideal.
@PinkBuddhaAcademy2 жыл бұрын
It's compact. And at this price point...? Not that many options.
@cresk2 жыл бұрын
I think this is a pretty decent / polite sounding synth for the price point. The overall sound quality sounds great and not too ‘phat’ which might be perfectly sitting in the mix without interfering too much with other frequencies, such as drums and / or vocals. Might be great for synth pop? Anyways, not sure how it holds up in some serious sound design sessions though.

To anyone wondering about the squealing high-pitched noise floor - this is NOT an issue with the recording (assuming PBA realized that by now). I’m about to return this synth for this reason - I have gotten ear fatigue and a headache lol very quickly every time for the two days I’ve owned this. It’s unbelievable to me that they sell this synth with this issue and no one seems to complain. Checked this especially noisy patches against this video and they’re all there! So definitely not a problem just with me unit. Guess I’m going to try the rev2 now, but I’m so freaking bummed - this was my first analog polysynth, and I really liked the sound overall but for me it’s unusable.
