yellow’s turn 31:31 the timer moved back a few seconds, same happened again after a few seconds. visual bug or?

It's usually latency issues. When Pete finished his turn, on his screen the timer will start instantly, but Yellow has to wait for the server to tell him it's actually his turn before he can act. Then during his turn, the server updates the timer to reflect the actual time the player has remaining which is why the timer bar jumps back.

He also invested 22 troops into the purple kill and failed, essentially giving it to pete for free as well as stepped off cap, giving that up for free as well, probably as big a blunder as he could possibly have made.
