But her kit isn't good at supporting early, since her W is on such a high cooldown. She wouldn't be useful to her adc. She's better mid where she can scale and not disrupt botlane, since she has such a high wave clear potential. Late game she can't split push because shes built for teamfights.

She actually has difficulty performing at the same level other supports do early game. Her shield/heal is on too long of a cooldown to be a good enchantress, Q is too easy to dodge and doesnt do enough damage to be a poke support, and her E doesn't CC long enough to make anything happen. Having a Seraphine support is like having a Yuumi support, but worse. More than that, she needs a good amount of income to scale into teamfights, which are her strength. She's a much better midlaner where she can get an income, and help out in skirmishes and scuttle fights and scale into being a midgame teamfight powerhouse

And the reason they got massacred is because skarner s people are literally hextec crystals. And seraphine is using one and she can hear that it’s alive.

@@javaligugante At least she's just a waveclear bot until teamfights or skirmishes break out. She's super weak to assassins and fighters (which crowd the mid lane) due to the long start up and surprisingly slow projectile on encore, and the lack of on demand hard cc. I played against a good yasuo in blind pick, and he was bullying me off the wave, and I couldn't poke back because he would dodge my q or I had to use q on the wave, and Seraphine e does low damage (doesn't have good scalings to balance the double casts) if it's not maxed first. Both e and q are quite slow, so it can be easy to dodge in the space of the mid lane. Yasuo is a hard counter, but she should be fine against assassins which don't have that much mobility or others which have much more limited or predictable mobility. Also I didn't get any ganks despite yas being constantly pushed up, and the junglers never had fights around scuttle or the raptors for me to help with. I actually don't even remember who were the junglers because I didn't see them that game. She has surprisingly clear and exploitable weaknesses for a new champ (very squishy among other mentioned weaknesses), but she's still incredibly unfair to play against like most new champs. She basically forces you under tower in the support role due to her bully nature with e max and the long ranges. If you pick an enchanter, you're asking to lose lane (because dodging e can be difficult under tower and in the bush when the minions crash in). You need to pick a hard engage support who doesn't get engages interrupted by beat drop if you don't dodge the e. You can also go e max on morg but it's not as fun for the Seraphine or morg. The ult destroys teamfights if the players are even, and the empowered auto is very annoying for poking before fights. She's like a neeko who is not as good at pushing or poke but makes up for it in utility, range, and depending on the match up teamfights.

Actually that is so true. I like playing Seraphine (she's kinda my main atm) but her lore, appearance and overall demeanor doesn't fit Runeterra at all. Considering the similarities, Riot could have just made her a Sona rework. At the current state why would anyone even play Sona when you've got Seraphine, who basically has the same effects (Healing, shielding, cc etc.) but with much more damage output.

@@artimex723 I've played both and honestly i'm going to have to disagree. Seraphine plays like more of a lux while sona is way more of a base enchanter. Even though seraphine has more dmg and cc, her shielding and healing is nothing compared to sona's as seraphine's healing comes at a delay and there needs to already be another sheild. In terms of their ultamites, seraphine's is ult is usually used offensively while sona's is more of a peel tool. I think its just that their appearances are so similar that people also assume their kits are exactly the same

In Swain and Brand's case, they changed their kit and were nerfed so hard that they unintentionally/intentionally made them more viable in the support role. True they can still be played in mid as off-meta picks, however with their current numbers they almost always get out classed or out bursted by meta picks.

Her damage isn't much different from release, her R was nerfed yes. But we don't play R for damage. What was nerfed most was her W, execute on minions (for support changes), -5ad, and note nerfs. Seraphine was forced into support by riot because of her pick rate. Her best role is APC! She still does really good damage if you build her correctly. :)
