It sounds/looks like the result of a three-way between a Gibson Ripper, a Rick 4003 and a P-Bass. Absolutely love everything about this bass. What a sound.

The sound is great but when seeing lobster play the bass it reminded me that it has no thumb rest or a pickup case acting as such. I'm so used to playing P- and J-basses and use the pickup case as a thumb rest. I think this is something that should be somehow easy to customize on a bass (don't know how though.. would be the job of an industrial designer :D)

@@johnsausage If you really need/want a thumbrest on your bass, try to make one yourself or buy one on ebay or at any basses selling shop and fix it on your bass yourself or ask someone you know to do that or give it to a shop which can do that.

@@johnsausage sereks are custom built so im sure the builders would have no problem installing one for you if you dont want the hastle of installing one yourself. also i think it would look great on one of these vintage inspired basses since so many vintage basses such as ricks and old fenders ised to have them.

Right? The single pickups sound vaguely like a P bass but thinner and with hum and they're so close to each other that there isn't enough variation unlike a Jazz bass.
