It's actually more scary the more you look at it. She's deep inside the court returning these like she knows the ball is coming to that exact spot? I wonder if it's a psychological aspect to this. There's no way the other players aren't seeing how far in the court she is. And instead of making her stretch for it's almost like they're giving it to her. It's also very clear alot of these were second serves so does she know every opponents second serve depth🥴 everyone can't have the same shot selection Sharapovas first and second serve don't really change Sharapova likes to go down the T but Haleps second serve is normally outwide but two of these she went for a body serve it's weird it's like her stepping in the court confuses them and they serve right to her racket also to judge the speed and height of the bounce with less time is terrifying the ball looks like it's moving in slow motion compared to Serena She's drawing back before it's bounced like she knows where the balls going to be. That's the only way you could safely hit that hard without error. And there's no topspin on these returns She's literally hitting the ball flat you can see that the balls aren't rotating forward sliding straight off the court with just pure power. She's literally bashing the ball has hard as she can the control she must have not over just the racket but the angle and trajectory of her body because Turing to much could force an error but she's not over hitting with that much power is crazy. Male players would be hard pressed to do this repetitively especially during a championship game. Most players mix up the serves. If say my opponent angled more to the outside because I've been serving outside for two games I'm going down the T and get them on the full stretch and probably come in and take the ball early. The speed of the return doesn't even give them time. In a couple of these the servers rackets were still down😭😭😭 Jesus they more than likely couldn't follow the ball with their eyes because they were literally still serving🤣
