lol it's easy. Anabel is Spanish, so she doesnt want to lose in front of her homecrowd and definitely not in straight sets. Anabel is a clay court specialist - she won 11 titles and 10 of them were on clay. She's also a 2x repeat doubles grand slam champion at Roland Garros (2008, 2009). Serena's worst surface is Anabel's best surface.

Fun fact, during the match Media Garrigues took new balls and fluffed them up in an attempt to slow them down, or basically tamper with them. Technically not illegal, but really bad sportsmanship.
