If she had a coach that could teach her to dial back the aggression just 10%, she'd be a top 10 player. She is an excellent ball-striker, can hit winners from anywhere and has the game to beat anyone. But she can also lose to almost anyone with her errors.
@Leomerya124 жыл бұрын
@@pomerlain8924 , I don't think so. I think she NEEDS to hit that hard to be successful. If she dials back, that'll throw pretty much everything else off. One's tennis game is a fragile thing.

@adamlarsson38284 жыл бұрын
that is Giorgi’s natural style and it is highly effective against many players. i see no reason why she should (- or want to) change it. also, it is important to remember that as hard as Giorgi hits - and she was going for it a lot, in this match - Serena can still hit significantly harder. their groundstroke averages for this match: fh: Serena - 78 mph Giorgi - 72 mph bh: Serena - 71 mph Giorgi - 69mph Serena hit a few groundstrokes in the 85 mph to 90 mph range in the match, which is still not close to her top speeds. Giorgi hits a bigger ball than Sharapova, who was typically 67 mph - 69 mph (average groundstroke speed) in the early to mid 2010s. if Giorgi ^had played with greater ‘percentages’ etc., Serena would likely have dominated these points more a lot easily and achieved more breaks in the match. Giorgi knows this. so i think that Giorgi knows ^exactly how she should play and /what works best for her/. Giorgi’s game style was part of an ongoing discussion within her team, early on in her professional career circa 2006 - 2009.
