I have two horses and just being with them as they eat, drink or just relaxing is the best form of relaxation. An evening or before the sun rises, having a fire as they are doing their thing is awesome. That is the best part of waking up or going to bed. Just came across your channel. Thanks

Question about the hat? What brand is it and how do you not get it super dirty hahaha my hats will be covered in dirt and dust after a good ride or camp out. 😂
@MTN_BUILT Жыл бұрын
It’s an Atwood from J.M. Capriolas. Lol it does get dirty but it’s woven pretty tightly and seems to avoid staining pretty well. I’m careful with it though. It does definitely get dusty! 🙂

I am Jasons mom and I can attest to that!! Since he was tiny, his hats had to be carefully place to make sure they stayed nice!! Sometimes an issue when packing to go on a 10 day hunting trip!!😂

Do you shoe your mules when riding in rocky terrain?
@MTN_BUILT Жыл бұрын
The white one I’ll run fronts on if we are riding multiple days in a row in really rocky country. The others so far haven’t needed shoes. The horse will I’m sure. She gets a little tender on rocky stuff. She’s only three and we haven’t started her yet.
@davidmickler544 Жыл бұрын
@@MTN_BUILT I do the same. My wife and I each ride mules and I put fronts on both if riding multiple days. Her mule tends to get ouchy after the first day.

Neat video. I’ve never really been big on ASMR videos, but I liked this one. Of course I’m sure it’s because it’s about something I can relate to. Who made your tent and does it have a stove jack as well as a hole in the floor for a wood stove?
@MTN_BUILT Жыл бұрын
Thank you!! We weren’t sure if people would like a horse version ASMR or not so we’ve just kind of been experimenting lol! Thank you! It’s a Roamin Home tent and it does have a stove jack and a pretty awesome floor, stay tuned for next weeks video because it’s going to be all about this tent!

This needs to be about 7 hours long so I could sleep. Talking to the animals wouldnt get in the way... either btw. Or maybe record an evening at your camp close enough to hear some equine movement - with the right tags it would be awesomely successful on youtube I believe. People putting together sleep vids like this are basically cutting and pasting sounds - and unlike this it just doesnt feel "legit." And if you guys did talk some - well that would "feel" natural to someone trying to dream their way to the camp...
@MTN_BUILT8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! That’s a really neat idea! We could definitely do a longer version of this type of video! ☺️
@TheGypsyVanners8 ай бұрын
@@MTN_BUILT you could even sit the camera looking towards the fire, or horses on a clear night and not worry about it.. or place it still when you get to "bedtime" Its about the sounds after all, and I flip my phone over to avoid extra light from screen anyway. Some of these "bedtime" videos are even promoted as "dark screen" for that very reason. My goal is to get a decent mike and record for myself a Florida rainy night - long version. I think the longest I have is 15 mins. One "night" video for example bugged me so much I had to turn it off. It had throughout: the sound of a Mourning Dove the audio person must have thought was an Owl! Uck.

Would you like to hear a story about Yellowstone in Wyoming
@MTN_BUILT Жыл бұрын
Yes! We love Wyoming 😊
@kraymississippi4388 Жыл бұрын
@@MTN_BUILT we went west for 6 weeks we were in Yellowstone this was 1969. There were cars stopped on either side of the road . There was a mother grizzly and cubs across a field about 109 yards away. We were taking pictures like everyone else until the guy behind us let his dog out on a leash. As soon as that dog hit the ground that grizzly took off running at the crowd who were all jumping in their cars. That bear was moving fast and when it got to the guys car behind us it stood up put it's claws into the roof and left deep scratch marks then stepped down snorted and went back across the field. I was in the back of the station wagon and watched the whole thing it was terrifying and cool at the same time.

@@kraymississippi4388 lol oh my gosh! It’s pretty crazy how close people get! We were driving from Jackson hole to Dubois for the weekend once and saw a mama grizzly and her twin babies up on the pass. There were so many people taking pics. Some of them only 30 yards from the bears. She could have been on them in three leaps. Thankfully she apparently didn’t feel threatened. Crazy though! That’s quite a thing to witness!
