Absolutely amazing church & tower. I'm continually amazed by the age of the structures. The US is so much younger than Ireland we have nothing like these ruins. Sue I cannot walk & chew gum at the same time if there's anything I can drop trip over fall over I will find it. I am worried about your ankle. I did something similar & wound up with foot & ankle surgery Nothing broken but ligaments stretched too far & all the bones slipped out of place. Major surgery 8 weeks in a cast at first no one realized what had happened & by the time they did it was too late I hope your foot heals soon. Those stairs were so scary. I was having heart palpitations just watching you. Great video. Be careful & safe travels ❤

Hi Sue! Great video! Thank you! I love the ability to get to the second floor, as you can see the entire structure remaining. But at the back of the church where the flowers were on the floor, that would have been similar but lower, to the remaining church. I wonder if the priest and help lived in the upper floors? Which would account for the large kitchen fireplace upstairs. Please be very careful in those old stone buildings Sue! You can easily get a twisted ankle on loose stones. We love your work!

Sue, GV, you both have shown us some wonderful places and this is definitely one of them. I didn't find the old church creepy, I actually found it calming. The thought of the celebrations that must have been held there and now it still stands to remind everyone of its past life. The stones, those ages, I'll personally never make it to anywhere close to them. It had me wondering just how did they manage it? So sorry to see you tumble. You’re a brave woman. Stairs are my scary thing for me. I’m so crippled at early sixties, I can hardly walk around our home, yet get down our front porch steps. I grip the handrail. I was worried for you watching. I got to admit looking down at the graveyard was a beautiful sight. I had three great aunts that were nuns, that lived to 103, 104 of age. If you read this Sue, please keep my husband in your prayers. He is going back to his Oncologist tomorrow and probably start his cemo back up. They gave him a two month break because he was having so many side effects and lost so much weight. A lot of times I do not get you channel notifications. So I check and try to catch up on those I miss, want to make sure you get my views to support you and GV, I do the same with his. Blessings to you both ✝️

Whew! I'm relieved you're okay! I was becoming dizzy looking out through those windows at that ground FAR, FAR below. That open area near the "stairway" gave me the willies... What an unusual design for a church. As you say, it was modified a century or so after it was built. That may explain why it looks the way it does. I was VERY impressed with that head stone with the momento mori on it. That was BEAUTIFULLY crafted, wasn't it? What a blessed area of Ireland that it would hold the remains of so many long-lived people! What gorgeous lives they lived; they got to SEE so MUCH! Mahalo for another...hair-raising video, Sue! Wow, that church is amazing. I too absolutely hate heights. I would have had a hard time walking up to the open areas and looking out. People in that area sure live to an old age.

Beautiful! And beautifully done! Eccept that step i hope you are ok! That's very dangerous! Alot of very old ages in that cemetary! I'm suprised there were no cautions inside what a calm & beautiful place!

The view from the windows is beautiful. I’ve travelled half of the world and never seen anything quite as beautiful as what we have in Ireland. We truly do live in Gods country, thank you for uploading this Sue, and as someone who also hates stairs I can tell you I felt your pain ❤❤

When you said "there are some very long lived people in this graveyard" I thought "yes, because they didn't climb those stairs!". Amazing to see structures from the 13th/12th century in such good kept condition and the 2 souls that lived to 101 and 92 in there time was a great age for then...ty sue this was amazing,stay safe...may I suggest a walking pole with the rubber tip for when you venture stone staircases and such 😂 you made my heart jump too on the way down..ty again👌

The grass looks so much a deeper shade of green in Ireland. That's a very interesting church and grounds. The skull on the one gravestone is reminiscent of the old style way of etching.

You can tell a difference in a church that old. The stone work stands out. Very elegant I think.The tower😮 wow.The beautiful stone wall. I love it.❤. Ca n you imagine the people hundreds of years ago going into the church to worship, there dress attire. I absolutely loved loved this video. Beyond amazing❤😊❤😊

Beautiful place to visit+how peaceful too!!! So lucky you didn’t hurt yourself falling down those last couple of steps, you could’ve really come a cropper if you’d fallen higher up, lucky you had your man in shining armer there to catch you!!! Both the church and tower are supercool! So is the graveyard. That church does look spooky 👻 It probably is haunted. I wonder 🤔 where that water is coming from?
