The collars now have the updated Elanco branding on the tins instead of Bayer. You'll find the serial number on the back of the tin which should match the one embossed into the collar itself.

Buy from a reputable source, and no, in my opinion that's not Amazon sellers. I was buying mine from Costco online, but they show Seresto collars as out of stock, so I'll have to buy them elsewhere. Chewy, and veterinarian clinics are good places to purchase from.

Bought two from Ebay. First one was real and worked great. Second one from a different seller was fake. Put it on the dog and two weeks later he has fleas. The first collar lasted 7 months before I replaced it.

I bought some from eBay and after 5 days still have fleas and ticks. After watching I realize they were fake. But just wanted to say that everything was as you said from the can to the texture except these have serial numbers that match the can. So they’ve upped their strategy to look real. Just thought you should know and thanks for this video.

Im from mexico, i buy seresto in diferent ocasions but i notice diferent 😢, thank you for you video is very helpful. I learn how make the difference between real and fake, but in mexico dont have the reflectors.

yes they still have the logo. But I noticed on the real one the white lettering is brighter on the front can and the blue strip going across the can is a shade lighter on the real one

@@wackyywaferjg6486 Yes it does now. But since it was still bearing the Bater name when I did the video and most knew it as put out by Bayer I stuck with the brand name so people would not be confused at the time. Thanks for your comment

I’ve been caught out and confronted the sellers (not the manufacturers) but the trouble is you can’t check all these “factors” without buying it first and opening it. I had a minimal refund because the sellers weren’t 100% convinced and they didn’t want to admit that they too had been conned into selling fake collars. You really do haven’t be right on top of things bought on the internet. My advice…go to the vet and buy an authentic collar, it’s worth the extra money for the peace of mind.

It is Seresto by Bayer. "Sarento" is not the same thing or a collar that I know of.
