Beautiful collection, I was showing Jura the artistry behind this brand earlier. If ever you get the chance to look up images from their makeup line, it’s absolutely fantastic photography. So much creativity. Is there any chance you can line them all up for a photograph on the community tab? I think that would look really impressive too 😍

Started with Amber Sultan which is exquisitely soft. Then I bought Chergui which is a beautiful scent..I think I will pick up a third SL...so far these two purchases have been absolute bangers

I’ve yet to smell Bois de Vanille. Sa Majeste La Rose is so beautiful…dewy wet fragrant rose. I wear it in wet weather in Los Angeles. When it rains here…the whole smells beautiful and that perfume just makes the day so much more beautiful. I love so many from this house. The one I have the least live for is Le Participe Passé, though I love the name. How could this smell bad was my thinking when I ordered it, blindly. It has this caramel sweet note with this smoky note…it’s an interesting challenge. Great collection you’ve got there! Thanks for sharing!

Participe passé is tough for me too, it's got a cheap curry note in it that I can't get away with. It's also in the newer bottles so I'm not a huge fan. I do like couche du diable though

@@RichMitch I love Couch du Diablo. I have a bottle . Rich, what s the big difference between the older and newer bottles? I have both and there only seem to be slight differences. The new bottles are a bit heavier…labels are different..caps …is it about aesthetic?

This was a great family portrait. Wow Vetiver Oriental is the only SL I own a bottle of. Would like to have Borneo and MKK. The others, a sample is enough for me.

I love it, it's such a fresh rose 🌹 and I think you're right, I can't think of another rose soliflore I'd rather have. I have kazimi but that's more than rose, it's got spice and a little oud, I think 🤔

The fella that sold SL here was named Jonathon as well, he had rank breath and would handcuff himself to me whenever i arrived, in hopes of a commission. His breath would have been a great capture for a SL brief.

Great presentation! I'm a big fan of SL as well. Such a shame they doubled the price with the gratte ciel format. Fille en Aiguilles is good but indeed not worth the inflated price at all. Bapteme du Feu is a steal, one of my best discovery of last year: Christmas pudding in a bottle.

You're right, the prices have gone up and they've been reformulated. I struggle with bapteme du feu, I enjoyed it more when I smelled it whilst making the video though 🤔

Was really looking forward to this, as know you’re a big fan. It delivered. I have two of Lutens, Feminite du Bois which I really love that woody dry down, and Santal Majuscule which I’m finding a little harder to get along with, doesn’t feel like we get on together but I’m worried about letting go a real gem 😅 both are the former bottles. I haven’t smelled too many of the rest but they all sound to be intriguing in some way. Great video, Rich, thanks Might totally be unnecessary but have you considered having a thick white paper or white board to have on hand to put behind the bottles to show off the color when you mention it? Only an idea

Hello! Just subscribed after seeking out more intel on this house. I’ve seen your handle for years in fragrance forums but didn’t know you had a channel until today. Nice to “meet” you. Even among Lutens lovers, it’s wild how much tastes differ (and what each person finds their most challenging). I adore Arabie which many people find odd (and love licorice, so Un Bois Vanille is a dream). I respect all I’ve tried, some fit me better than others. I sampled Sa Majesté la Rose and think it is the best rose soliflore I’ve tried (tho cost is slowing my roll!). I missed Jeux de Peau at a decent price and think I’d love it. Tuberose Criminelle is challenging me but I have a feeling I’ll grow to love it. I ordered Baptême today and then heard your opinion. Not sure if I should be excited or scared, ha! Cheers, Amy

Rich, do you know if the newest version/formulation of Ambre Sultan is true to the original? I find those brand new bottles with the stain glass mosaic pattern on them absolutely beautiful, I just want to make sure the perfume in them hasn’t been butchered. There’s not much discussion on SL reformulations out there.
