I remember someone said they asked Serge about why he only ate 2-3 times a day and he said, you dont see a panther or tiger eat 6 times a day. It hunts, then eats then rests.
@nashjocic888
@nashjocic888 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, he did not eat often, and this was the reason that he was getting lean with all that food. You need time between meals to burn fat. If you eat every 2-3 hours you will produce to much insulin and that want make you lean... My two new videos will talk exactly about the physiology of fat burning and fat accumulating

Thank you for this video Nash. More and more people, over the past few years, have become convinced about how a high carbohydrate intake is particularly fattening. However, one of the communities that seems to be most reluctant to reduce carbohydrates is the athletic community, which still holds to this erroneous belief that carbohydrates are necessary for a high volume of exercise. That is why I am particularly grateful to people like you, who live and breathe high performance, who are debunking this dietary myth. It is clear from the high volume of training that Serge did, as well as the pioneering research that Dr. Stephen Phinney and Dr. Jeff Volek have done with low carb endurance athletes, that the body can produce ample energy from other substrates - namely dietary/body fat and ketone byproducts.

Dont forget every major agriculture and health industry relys on our high carb high sugar diet that keep us fat and sick. Its not a surprise if you are a known figure and speak out about it you will be attacked especially if you hold a medical degree.

Well, Serge had a very unique type of physique, simply unmatchable. What he lacked, for gaining more popularity, was a charisma. Arnold was really veery charismatic. That helped him become an icon and this is how he was perceived during his days and later. Also, Arnold was more impressive, he was bigger, but when it come to the waistline he was not of Nubret's calibre. Nubret was more aesthetically pleasing and was also 17 kg lighter than Arnold! Best, N

In some photos, Serge and Arnold have very similar bodies. But Serge has better skin tone :-) waist and abs. Arnold is a bit bigger and heavier and has more filling volume from behind in the lat pose. His lat goes far down. But shoulder-chest-arms and legs, very similar.

No, unless he was adding a lot of oil or rendered fat. Horse meat is way too much protein compared to fat to induce ketosis. The only meat fatty enough to naturally induce ketosis is seal meat and the people adapted to eating that are resistant to ketosis.

Well, yet another myth! He was not! That type of diet will burn a hell out of your body fat. Also, he was training twice a day... don't forget the range of drugs that he was taking. We are not talking here about god's angels, we are talking about the principle that can benefit us. That doe not mean the you should eat like him, but rather that you should increase your protein and decrease your carbs. And of course, you have to TRY IF IT WORKS FOR YOU! It may not... So, offering people different option from which they can choose through different experiences is my aim. Best, N

I appreciate your Counsel, however, let us recognize the Variety of Carbs, more than our quantity is what determines Insulin Volume and Efficiency. Unrefined Carbs are Trash, most Unrefined Unprocessed Carbs are Thoroughly Advantageous! The Last Mr Olympia to demonstrate an Excellent Vacum, Lee Haney, ate 70% Whole Unfefined Carbs.

Well, well... All the carbs in your body have to end up in the from of glucose (blood sugar). There is also something called glycemic load, which is more important than glycemic index... Eating too much of any carbs will make you fat! ancient Egyptians didn't have sugar (invented in year 1000 AD) but were dying from heart attacks and obesity... they main source of food were complex carbs and fruit! Check my book 'The Ultimate Nutrition'. Best, N

@@nashjocic888 First, I ENTIRELY respect you, and appreciate your Professional Accomplishments and Authority. What you do get's men successful results, this is UNDISPUTED. Again, I ask your consideration of Carbohydrate Distinctions. No Civilization in Human History survives unless the Men are lean and athletic enough to win wars of national defense. The Ancient Roman Legions victoriously went through Gaul, (your Fatherland) and Iberia and Brittania, primarily eating UNREFINED Barley and Wheat Military Rations. What you say I don't understand? Where do you see all these Fat Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese Rice eaters, (before Western Trash Food Influence)? Where do you see on Ancient Egyptian Artwork people without Narrow Waist and Broad Shoulders? Scottish People are Major Unrefined Oatmeal Eaters, their Typical Physiques are Distinctively Lean. I dare any Man over 5 10' Height, to eat 10 Pounds of Unpeeled Boiled Sweet Potatoes a day and gain fat. Again, respect to you, what you do WORKS! However, Lee Haney would have NO VACUM, neither would Mike Mentzer, (both men had SUPERB VACUMS), IF, eating UNREFINED-UNPROCESSED Carbs cause obesity. Slow Glucose Absorption means MAXIMUM METABOLIC EFFICIENCY-RELIABLE FAT REDUCTION!

@@henryomeara9701 Thank for your kind compliments. What you have pointed out is not what our physiology is created for. Yes, we are omnivores and can survive on anything, as well as ancient armies did. But the question is: is that diet which is full of carbohydrates really the best diet for us. From the heath perspective, to the athletic performance, the evidence is showing that it is not. Regarding Egyptians, who relied exclusively on complex carbs, all you need to do is to visit British museum, where I did my research, and yo will see that event the mummies of the members of the richest cast, who relied on high carb diet, were the mummies of relatively young people. there all have big skin folds around the waist, meaning they were obese, only few teeth left in the jaw, and even they were black and rotten, suggesting the 'benefits' of high carb diet. Kingdoms fed their soldiers with the cheap food first of all, throughout the history, including the diets of the military nowadays. Can you imagine the expense of a high meat diet for the army? When it come to Lee Haney, who I met by the way, and his diet, Lee used to eat some carbs, bu not much. His highest would be 200 g per day and in the last few weeks before Olympia that would go to less than 50 g. This is why they all could perform vacuum pose. The guy today cannot do that any more, because they are on 300-600 g of carbs a day. Also, high carbs increase your insulin production which causes the growth of soft tissues of the guts, hence extended belies. So, carbs are cheap and tasty, and also one of the most profitable commodities on the market (they can be stored for years and are very low cost production). This are the a in reasons for their popularity and promotion. By the way, ask your stomach why it holds now 2 laters of hydrochloric acid? Why is that critical organ of digestion geared up with the acid which is there exclusively to digest protein? Best wishes, N
