I’ve heard people express horror at the idea of putting a dancer’s movements in slow motion, lest you reveal all their flaws that are hidden by faster movements. But the way Sergei moves is a kind of mesmerizing liquid grace to me and slow motion only draws it out. And it fit the song. So, hopefully it’s all right to share this personal little montage piece publicly. My fascination with his movements is not about perfection, but an indefinable, unique quality of himself that Sergei brings to his dance. And because this indefinable quality is a part of himself, there isn't another dancer quite like him and there never will be. 💥LOOKING FOR POLUNIN BALLET PERFORMANCES? 💥 You're invited to visit the playlists on my channel where I have been working on organizing all the quality recordings of Sergei Polunin's performances I've found on KZbin: kzbin.infoplaylists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=2

Well said. That is exactly true - slow motion only emphasizes the quality, beauty and uniqueness of Sergei’s dancing 👏🏻

Yes, it is very well described, it is the very essence of Sergei Polunin and I understood it well in your artistic approach, very emotional, very intimate, disturbing and touching. Compliments. Congratulations, Joe from Lausanne, Switzerland

God, his beauty and grace just break my heart. I wish this piece was at least 1/2 hour long. It’s always over before I am finished watching! Although I enjoy watching him in all his performances, I particularly love to see him just dancing his heart out like he does here, no partner, no props, no big stage, no fancy costume, just his talent, technique, grace and magic. 🥰

With admiration and gratefulness : )) Superb montage of extracts brilliantly put into images and music, as if unreal, vintage, timeless. The slow motion is exquisite, the sequence of images in the form of winks are graceful like Serguei's gestures. I love it all. You offer here a delicate work of celestial and divine artist. You too are touched by grace. Congratulations and Thank you very much for sharing

Timeless, indefinable, aerial, evanescent, as if coming from elsewhere. Sublime slow motion that offers the beauty of aerial figures so light and allows you to savor this fragment haloed by some medieval melody that charms my heart. Many thanks for sharing this value. P.S.: I suspect that my message below was intended for another video. As I have to use the translator for each message left, I must have made a mistake with the tabs and got lost. I have trouble seeing and the enamel of my memory is flaking enormously. I apologize for my messages from three weeks ago that were intended for another video. I watched it, then I wrote as I do here. I did not put on stop or pause and the message came to stick under some video that I discover at the moment! With all my apologies and my consideration. With total gratitude for this interlude, of ineffable fragment of talent, of beauty. Dizzying and transcendent. Wow : )) Bravo and Thank you very much for sharing from Switzerland, Lausanne, Friendly, Joe

Your playlist is amazing, I mean your favorite playlist. I love the choreography representing the 1960s or 1970s with Natalia Osipova and Sergei Polunin Run Mary Run. Hypnotic performance by gifted masters
@IndiaInk2 ай бұрын
I'm glad you're enjoying the playlist, although I'm not sure which one you're talking about, since I don't have a public "Favorite" playlist on my channel. (I do have a "My Favorite Polunin Fan Videos" but those are only montages, not performances.🤔) I do have "Run Mary Run" on my "Full Ballets & Near Complete Performances", and on my "30 Minute Full Ballets with Sergei Polunin" playlists, though. Maybe you are referring to one of those.🙂 I have tried to put together very helpful playlists for Sergei Polunin fans. I think I have something like 50 on my channel now. 😅 Always grateful to be able to help people enjoy Sergei and his work!

@@IndiaInk In your channel, YT makes you believe that you have created playlists grouping all of Sergei Polunin's work. So it is in the grapeball channel that is mentioned in your channel and in your first playlist that I have seen this video viewed several times, that I left a message. YT should not do this. It does not inform correctly.

@user-mp1hv2ng4z I have created dozens of playlists of Sergei’s work. And I’m glad that I helped you find the Run Mary Run video via my playlists.

@user-mp1hv2ng4z That wasn't false information. Yes, I created that playlist. I created all the playlists that are on my channel. I work very hard on creating them. My confusion was that you called it my "Favorite" playlist, and I thought you meant that was the name of the playlist. I don't have a playlist with that name, so I was confused. The name of the playlist you were watching is "Full Ballets & Near Complete Performances". And yes, I created it and update it whenever I find a new ballet to add to it.

That special thing you mention I cal Sergei Sauce. I watch other male dancers who are technically nearly perfect, but they don’t thrill me the same way Sergei does. It’s the Sergei Sauce.

Rudolph Nureyev in the former Soviet Union had been criticized a lot for his imperfections which in fact reflected his talent and his unique expression. One of his masters had even told him: either you will be the greatest, or you will be nothing at all. He was too barricaded in the Union of the former USSR. Here, it was dazzling, an openness, a presence, a charisma, a crazy charm, he set the room on fire as soon as he appeared, he dressed the stages like no one else. Few great artists can claim to have this resonance and to endure over time. // I am not at all for the perfection which was once the bread and butter or the orders of the USSR. I found that everything was too perfect, too identical, terribly framed, padlocked and that it lacked substance, air, freedom. Now, today's Russia or today's great Russia has perfect technique, gestures and free expression, incredible aesthetics. Fascinating Slavic soul always in motion : ))

Ссылка на VK Сергея: vk.com/poluninink Ссылка на фан-аккаунт ВК: vk.com/sergei.polunin
