Spoken from the heart and without preparation. Love it. “Giving back to Serbian people” Thinking back to the creative team of 5 years ago … - choreographer from Japan, - sets designed in Czech Republic made in Serbia, - costume and lighting designer are Russian - one cast member from London - one from Belgrade - other 3 from Moscow.

I would have liked to attend. It didn't happen. I had noted your message announcing on October 7 this performance in Belgrade where part of my family comes from and as two of the members often go there, I thought that we could have done it... the trip... from Lausanne, Switzerland. / Were you able to attend the performance of this Rasputin? Thank you for following the very high level dance, diversified around Serguei Polunin but also his wife. Sincerely yours : )

I'm sorry you weren't able to make to to the show. I'm glad to be able to share what I can of Sergei's dancing and interviews like this with people who love him and follow his work!

@@IndiaInk It is very generous of you. You participate fully in raising, spreading the evolution of dance, performances, high virtuosity, beauty, effort and work. Thank you. And a treat that you can attend all these shows

@@user-mp1hv2ng4z It would be a treat, indeed, if I could attend all Sergei's shows. I avoid sharing a lot of my personal life online, but I have mentioned in some comments that I live in the USA and traveling across the world is cost prohibitive for me. I have been blessed to get to see Sergei perform live once, in Belgrade this year, but whether or not I will be able to see him again is not at all a certainty. I had a wonderful time, and, of course, I can certainly hope the opportunity will come again.

@@IndiaInk Traveling is "prohibitive" for you ? ! Well, I can guess the reasons. / So you had the chance to go to Belgrade. It's really funny, in the particular sense, since it's the first time that I have a family member whose mother's origins are completely Serbian and that two of my family members go to the family in Belgrade. It's great and superb that you were able to see this Rasputin ballet in real life. // When I was younger, it was Rudolph Nureyev that I saw in real life and that my deceased aunt and godmother was totally gaga over. Not me, but I found him to have a lot of charisma in addition to his presence, presence, etc. In truth, I haven't seen many great dancers: Jorge Donn, Alicia Alonso from the Cuban ballets. For the rest, I don't remember their names, but I've seen several ballets in New York and Lausanne. That's all. Then, it's only through the screens. It must be magical to be able to actually be at the Mariinsky, at the Bolshoi. One of my great uncles was a dancer at the Royal Ballet in London: I never saw him, because it was another time. Interesting how people have rich and full lives : ) Thank you for your explanation. I understand English so badly. As for the Russian that my grandfather spoke perfectly, I don't speak it at all. Kind regards and thank you for everything : )

@@user-mp1hv2ng4z "Cost-prohibitive" is a polite way of saying "I don't have a lot of money to spend on hotels and round-trip airline tickets to Europe".😅 But Sergei is outside of Russia so rarely these days, and traveling to Russia, of course, would present additional difficulties for me right now, so the Rasputin show seemed a rare opportunity to see him. So, with help, I was able to manage the trip to Serbia. I'm glad you've had the opportunity to see some great dancers. How interesting to have had a relative who was in the Royal Ballet! Since I'm really only interested in seeing performances that Sergei is in, I'm very grateful to be able to watch at least parts of his performances online. And once in a while, we even get the whole performances! (Twice this year they've broadcast his full performance of Sacre.)

Для кого в Сербии на английском ?
@IndiaInk28 күн бұрын
Многие люди в Сербии говорят на английском как на втором языке - больше, чем на русском. Поскольку Сергей знает только эти два языка, он говорит на английском, когда находится в Сербии.
