A response to Jim Robin. This is one of the reasons why so many people are turned off classical musical and their out of touch and outdated supporters. Let other musicians play Bach ,Brahms and Chopin on their chosen instruments. This accordion player did a masterful performance on a demanding piece off music on a difficult instrument to master. There is nothing wrong in playing Bach on so called folk instruments. I would rather hear this piece played expertly on the accordion than being played in a mediocre way on the organ or piano.

Sometimes YT surprises me. This is one of them...the dexterity of the musician in this video is amazing! Hours of practice went into the preparation of this performance. It's already a feat of mind over fingers and feet on an organ! This is awesome! To be played on a button accordion even more so. Loved every moment of this! The expression of dynamics was masterful!

I think I just saw a person worthy of the name Musician. Also I never saw an accordion like that before, so to the designer(s) and maker(s), you built a whole pipe organ into a fire bellows, and this bloke learned to play it. This is absolutely my favorite all-time Classical piece. I've heard it played on spinets, synthesizers, Pianos, and pipe organs. This is the first time I have ever heard it played on an accordion. It was not what I expected honestly. I was expecting it to sound similar to a polka, but no, It had the clarity of a pipe organ. I am truly amazed at this man's talent and skill.

This is one of my favorite Bach compositions!!!!! As a former accordion (piano accordion) player, I am in awe at how he used the bass side of the instrument!!!! In my younger days, I played some classical music to get a better feel for 40s, 50s and 60s jazz/swing music: harmony & composition. In my musical group, we catered to the "Greatest Generation" and my favorite, eastern style polka music!!!!! Being Polish, this was rather easy for me. As for my jazz, I was a fan of the Pete Jolly school of accordion playing. I only wish there were Bach charts in the late 50s and into the 60s that were arranged for the accordion. Even back then, I loved the Master's music. But this, is absolutely amazing!!!!!
